I am amazed at how many guys responded to this post - I mean single guys with no kids that have thought of what they want to name their kids when they have kids - most guys I know run scared from the mention of having kids - even if they already have a few of them

My first daughter is Sarah, which we thought was cute and old-fashioned, but ended up being frighteningly common for girls born in 1989.
88, 89, 90 were def. the years for sarah. i can name at least 20 ppl named sarah. thats nuts. still, i love the name and so did my parents... which is why mine is a stem from sarah.

i named my daughter betsy. i like old fashioned names and you don't hear betsy much anymore. reminds me of a 1940s kids book. her middle name is savannah...there's a story behind it but i won't tell her about it until she's in her 20s.
I went to high school with a girl named Daiquiri. Seriously, don't name your children after alcoholic beverages, people.
i went to high school with a girl named precious...and she was anything but (on the inside AND outside).
hahah i knew a girl named dairquiri too. how trashy to name your child after an alcoholic beverage. i also know 2 girls named precious. neither of which, are precious.
i went to high school with a kid named micheal jackson, and another kid named fidel castro. now, thats just cruel.

I know an attorney down here named Precious - I think HIS mother had lost her mind when she named him that but I bet no one harasses him - he is a big guy
