ewww. Chocolate stout. I tried one the other day and it was incredibly bitter like chocolate but without all the fun
I'm going to try the sweet beers though. Maybe now when I go out with my friends to our bar that does great beer specials, I don't have to feel so awkward and maybe I can actually FINISH my beer!
Speaking of stouts, one of my fav's is Keegan's Mother's Milk. Nothing puts out a fire after eating some spicy buffalo wings than a smooth serving of Mother's Milk

Since most of these are dark, i will throw up a couple of lagers. Tona from nicaragua is one of my favorite lagers, very easy to drink and smooth. Lapin Kulta from Finland was also awesome, but i think its impossible to get in the US. some regular favories of mine. Shiner Bock Newcastle I tried leinenkugels sunset wheat yesterday, and it is damn good and sweet. I havent had Samuel Smiths winter welcome ale lately, but it was good last time I had it. Maredsous 8 Fat Tire I still drink Bud Light frequently though.

In Fort Worth we have a Central Market and it has a phenomenal beer selection and you can mix and match six packs. I need to go again sometime soon. I live near the mexican side of town, but right down the street is a really good beer store also, I still have a lot of stuff to try there. Down the street is an awesome taco truck Thursday thru Sunday. I wont be caught dead eating at Taco Bell ever. Yo Quiero Taquerias y mucho cervezas.

Ales are fermented warm, not lagers.
Anyway, just got back from a Dogfish Head charity tasting in Scottsdale and man was it a good time. They had 21 of their beers on tap, almost everything they make, and the most they've had on tap outside their own brewpub. We had a hotel next to the bar, so we all got hammared on worldwide stouts (23% ABV), as well as their Johnny Rawton Pilsner and Shelter ale, which usually don't come to AZ. Returned home Sunday to a cold frosty keg of homebrewed Negra Modelo. Will have a Dogfish Head Aprihop clone (an apricot IPA) ready to drink tomorrow. Yum!

Ahhh! Leinekugel's Berry Weiss, my favorite breakfast beer! Great way to start your day, not something you'd want to down a whole six of but one or two on game day morning, not bad...
i completely agree, only i prefer leinekugel's sunset wheat. you are dead on about not wanting to down a whole sixer though.
A little over a year ago, my local convenient store was selling the regular leinekugels with the blue label for 2.99 a six pack and 11.99 a case (24 beers). At that price you can force yourself to drink more than you actually want. So I developed the taste for it. If you give those beers a heavy poor with a nice 1 - 1 1/2" head in a glass, it's delicious.
Very good beer, and like you said tastes great with pancakes and eggs.
I figure I am going to sit here and watch some of the Coachella broadcast that I would kick back some beers. I picked up a six pack of Stone IPA. Probably one of the best IPAs you will ever have:
On another note, I found a website that will find beers for you in your area. You just have to put in the zipcode and they will do the rest: www.greatbrewers.com/index.php?home_zip=0
I figured I would bump this again. I finally had a chance to drink some Fat Tire when I was in Texas and boy was I impressed. I only wish I can get it out here in NY/NJ :-(
I also had the Shiner Bock, which became my 2nd beer of choice out there. Thanx to hippieinaustin for the recommendation.
My favorite beer is Blue Moon. 312 is pretty good too. I like the lighter beers way more than the dark beers. I've been trying to new beers but it's so hard to remember all the crazy names!
I love beer...... Rolling Rock Red Stripe Newcastle Fat Tire Blue Paddle Skinny Dip MOTHERSHIP WIT 1554 2 below Sam Adams Boston Lager Sam Adams Octoberfest Tecate Sol Grolsh Premium Blonde Blue Moon Harvest Moon(Pumpkin Spiced Blue Moon) Land Shark(Jimmy Buffet's Beer) Bass Guiness Draught Smithwicks(A Great Guiness Brew) Amberbock Shiner Bock Pilsner Octoberfest Dark Side of the Moon(Half and Half Blue Moon and Guiness) Black and Tan( half and half Guiness and Bass) ...did I mention I love beer. I could go on and on. My favorite brewery is problem New Belgium. Every beer they make I enjoy except Old Cherry its a little too sweet for me. Great beers and the brewery is enviroment friendly. What more could you ask for?

Will be racking my first batch of homebrew this season tonight. a true mongrel, cobbled together from random ingredients I had lying around the house. I have no idea how it will taste.
BTW, anyone had the Frank Zappa beers Lagunitas has been putting out lately? They are really wonderful, and the kick-ass label art is a nice bonus. My fav so far has been the Kill Ugly Radio Ale.

If you are not a bug beer drinker you should try this!
Leinenkugals' Sunset Wheat. It is really yummy! My husband and I call it the fruity pebbles beer because it really tastes like fruity pebbles!
they also have one called Berry Weiss that tasted like a blackberry soda, but it was too sweet for me.
