Oh for sure. I had this one while I was at the brewery last year called Fortitude that appears to be a once only kind of thing. Wow. It may be the best beer I have ever had. It was a strong pale ale ... Almost a belgian but I don't think it was strong enough. That did a number on me. I ended up spending $600 on records and came back with a pair of shoes I don't ever remember buying.

Had a Rogue double Dead Guy ale (9% ABV) last night for the first time and was mighty impressed. as a brewer, I know any monkey can throw a ton of hops and malt into a fermenter and make a big beer, but to make a 9%er that is well balanced and goes down smooth as a session beer is tricky.

I tried the Budweiser Amber Ale tonight, its pretty good. No taste of regular Budweiser at all, much darker. i think it would be good on tap. Right now i would like an Olvi from finland which is less dark than Budwieser ale or a sweetwater blue 420. I love those.

Very cool. Once you get it down, homebrew is the best beer you'll ever have. what's your setup?
And if you have any questions, feel free to pm me. I work in a homebrew shop.

Santa's Little Helper Imperial Stout
Just had this this evening whilst carving my jack-o-lantern. Wonderfully smooth for an Imperial Stout. A tad undercarbonated though, which seems to be a recurring problem w/ Port Brewing lately.

Tried this today. I am always impressed with the balance Big sky strikes with their beers. They are rapidly becoming my favorite microbrewery since Flying Dog.
also gave this a try. I'm starting to become bored with the over the top hop flavor of IPAs, esp. Imperials. Not a bad one, but the perfume flavor of strong cascade/centennial/amarillo hops is not my favorite.

this Goose Island special reserve Imperial IPA is absolute heaven! Granted it was 20 bucks for a 4 pack, but yowser it was deeee-licious! Plus it packs a punch at 9% alcohol content.
Hey CounterPruduct have you ever had the DFH 120 IPA? Not a huge fan of that style but that one did tickle me a bit. I had another a few nights ago that I like alot .. He' Brew Lenny Bruce R.I.P.A Good stuff for a pale ale.
And you westerners don't know how lucky you have it.

^nope only had the tasteyness that is the 60 min IPA....but it's fantastic. i'm thinkin i'll work my way up to the 120 by givin the 90 min a try first. heard really good things about it. k+ for the recommendation tho. anyway, here were my celebration beers for last night....
beer brewed locally in New Orleans, although the original brewery hasn't opened up since Katrina. They're brewing it at other breweries at the moment. Decent, cheap beer.

I picked up some 2 below Ale, which is New Belgium Brewing's winter seasonal beer, some Odell's IPA, which is another Colorado microBrewery, and some LongHammer IPA , which is made by Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and is sold for a reasonable price at our local Wal-mart Supercenter.

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
