do LIRR and then take the PATH train to Liberty State Park. PATH station is near Penn station... but tehre are other PATH train stations. www.apwfestival.com/getting-there/light-rail
That's funny APW must have worked out a deal with the ferry system for an additional revenue stream. They are even selling ferry packages on Ticketmaster for this event.

yup thats why im spreading the word to you good people. i mean yah, the ferry view is nice, but the PATH saves you time, and money. Im not sure what time PATH train stops tho, but i dont think its an issue. (i will double check to make sure.)

whose all going on friday? and what time are you guys heading there? i cant go the entire day but hope to be there by 4 or 5. i may be alone for some of it, so we've gotta figure out a meetup!!!

i feel ya! i just want to make underworld/radiohead. i work literally right across the pond from the park so it will take me like 10 min to get there from work, but i have to leave early, and i dont know what time to tell my boss!!!
man i would love to go and see little brother radiohead and girltalk... if the ticket is cheap and still around i might start looking for a plane ticket now..
becca, we should meet up for sure. i dont think we are heading in that early - and on saturday, im pretty sure we arent heading in until basically radiohead plays.

we're still deciding if we want to stay in jersey city or nyc. i know, doesnt sound like a hard choice, but i dont feel like blowing so much $$$ on a hotel. and dont want to sleep on my cousins floor.
So, as of today I'm officially in for Trey in Brooklyn + all 3 nights APW. Weird how it all worked out, and I'm not gonna go into it, but I'm stoked to say the least. Flying into LGA and out of EWR monday AM.
I'm staying in Newark. Hotels are cheaper out near EWR by a significant amount. I'm thinking of renting a car and just driving to the park and ride Light Rail. Seems like a good option, just have to get to the parking spot early enough I guess.
Do we have an inforoosters meet up planned? I'm flying solo all 3 nights. Would very much like to meet inforoosters like Becca, Idioteque, et al. PM Me if you want to exchange cell #s and meet up!!

i think im just giving in and staying with my cousin in manhattan. free vs $$$. but free = sleeping on a floor.
actually, not sure what time ya'll are going in, but maybe we could just meet up for some (excessive amount of) drinks somewhere before heading in on saturday. mcsorelys comes to mind... but im sure there are better bars in freakin nyc.
hey guys, i'm going to apw alone from toronto and some of you guys seem to know alot about the area. I think i'm going to stay in newark at the airport as it seems to be a lot cheaper there. My question is how do i get to the park each day (i'm going for friday and saturday). Do i just take a shuttle or cab up to penn station and take the light rail from there? Also, how is this area at night time when i'll be arriving back from the concert alone. Thanks in advance
sorry, no idea krs - newark, in general, is not the best place on earth. ive never stayed there, so i only know what ive heard...
fyi, after checking the times, im not going into the show until probably 4ish on friday and more like 7ish on saturday. id kind of like to see the felice brothers, since i just met one of them, but i never get to hang out in nyc, so that's probably what ill be doing all day on saturday.
... and there's only a few Pool Parties left until they make it an actual pool again next year
