Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
i saw on the schedule that the shows at end at 10:30 each night. i was wondering do the headline acts usually go over? i cant see radiohead only doing an hour and a half set.
Radiohead is scheduled for 2 hours, from 8:00 - 10:00pm. The other headliners only get 8:30-10:00pm.
I decided to take the plunge and try out Lolla too this year. It's definitely not as hardcore as the Roo and the sets won't be as long or as epic, but there's no denying that the headliners are waaay better.

I just decided today with some friends that we're getting day passes for Saturday to see RATM. So I'll see you all there saturday.
I do have one question though. Are there any good places to park around there? We'll be getting into Chicago around 10am. I know there are parking garages and stuff but I also know those are pretty expensive. I was in Chicago last year and paid 13 dollars for an hour in a garage.

If you're getting there as early as 10 I would suggest doing a little research and parking in a suburb on your way in and just riding the L in. Besides that I've parked right next to Grant Park in the underground lot and it was around $35 if I remember right.
I posted this in another thread but I thought I'd give it a shot here, too (thanks for the replies in that thread).
Can anyone give me the names of some cool neighborhoods and bars / resturants / stuff to do, etc. while in Chicago? I'd prefer to hang out in places that aren't a chain, but if it's cool then I'm cool.
We're going to see all our "major" bands, but also break away to do other fun stuff.
PS - Is the weather hotter than Bonnaroo, b/c Bonnaroo's not that hot to me....
Thanks for the info! I'd say I've got a pretty decent plan when it comes to hanging out late.
But I do have another question. Can anyone give me any info regarding the El vs. Metra? I'm staying out by O'Hare, so from what I understand, I can take the Blue Line to downtown. But as far as the Metra, I'm sort of clueless.
Which would be better for me? I live in a city with pretty much zero public transit, so this is all new to me.

So who all is going to lolla? I"m there all three days.
Metra is a pain in the ass. The last one runs out usually between 10 and 11. There also might be a midnight train on Satudays. The blue line will drop you right in o'hare. there is a shuttle running between the ohare stop and the rosemont stop right now due to construction. So tha twill slow things down.
If you can catch the metra it will be much faster for you. However, taking the blue line means you can stop off in bucktown/wicker park and go to a lot of fun bars.
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...

Inforoo meetup before a specific show? Maybe somethign earlier in the day? Maybe one of the 1215 shows on Friday? Those are Holy F*ck, Black Lips, Magic Wands. I was going to Holy F*ck but would go see any of the three if we had a meetup.

I'd potentially meet up, but not sure when/where would work.
Seeing as I'm moving out of my apartment today, I probably won't get to check in again until tomorrow afternoon. I'll see if you guys figure something out. I just decided to go and bought my ticket yesterday, so I don't have a complete Lolla plan of action yet.

Apparantly, he not only showed up on time, but he gave a good performance that didn't involve him talking to a robot. Also he played all the songs he was expected to play and spoke to the crowd. Go figure.
I think what needs to be talked about is the stage setup for NIN. Their new lighting hardware was the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen done on a live stage.
arrrgghghghg...crappy internets are dying but I'll try and find some video tomorrow.
Been surfing You Tube a bit tonight trying to find some decent quality video that does it SOME SMALL amount of Justice....
You KNOW how I am about my Tommy and Rage ;D Yes...it was ABSOLUTELY my set of the weekend.....
But REALLY!! NIN Blew me the F**K AWAY!! ;D ;D ;D ;D SUCH a performance show....WoW!! Can not WAIT to see them again at VooDoo...REALLY!! One of the BEST live shows I have seen...maybe ever...DEF in a long time....they used EVERYTHING they could find on the market today and then some to accentuate thier stuff and it SOOOO worked together SOOOO WELL....Just AWESOME!! Forget that "Glow In The DarK" crap....NIN made that sh** look EXACTLY like what it is! Too cool.....MUST see if you even a LITTLE like their stuff!! ;D
It was.....alright. IMO, too much crowd crammed into not much area. Food was cheaper which was a perk.
I got MAJORLY pissed off during Radiohead because people around me would not SHUT THE HECK UP. I swear the group behind me had a 20 minute conversation on the correct pronunciation of "Flosstradamus."
Most likely will not be going back.
But I did get to see Rage, so I guess it was all worth it.

It takes a lot -- and I do mean A LOT -- to make me mad, but this infuriated me. Everyone was talking. Everyone! At one point, I turned to the woman next to me and told her that if she was going to continue to yell nonsensical shite at the top of her lungs, she was going to have to move because she was ruining the show for me.
