Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Although I didn't go last year, from what I could tell by the lineup and schedule, the lineup was a bit top heavy leaving the middle and the bottom of the lineup looking a bit bare. I do agree that this years headliners are a bit underwhelming as far names go, but they are still solid and the overall lineup looks improved from last year. I am even expecting next year to even have a better lineup with the ticket increase.
i believe it is what you make of it! this will be my fourth year and i can think of some rockin shows i've seen every time. last year arcade fire and the killers blew me away (i'd seen both of them before, but this time they were both ridiculous). but i agree with dirty, this year i am more pumped for the 'littler' bands rather than the headliners. my biggest conflict was with krauss/plant and beck but luckily i got to catch their whole show at bonnaroo.

This is the last chance to get sold-out ACL Festival 3-day tickets. Students can save 35 bucks and get them for the low price of $135. Sales are cash only, 2 per person. Must show student ID. Quantities are limited and available only while supplies last.
As far the smaller bands go I would check out the following:
Delta Spirit(Friday) Mugison(Sat) Langhorn Slim(Sat) Back Door Slam(Sat) Lee Boys(Sat) Tristan Prettyman (Sun) Joe Bonnamossa (Sun) Mike Farris (Sun) White Denium (Sun) Hertless Bas_tards (Sun) The M's (Sun)
Just to note, that Sustin Ventures Stage on Sunday is chock full of small bands that I had mentioned.
I posted this in another thread, but a bunch of ACL board members are meeting at Wahoos around 4, then on to Mother Egan's around 6, then possibly Ego's afterwards. Nice group of people, there were 35 or so of us there last year.
Some of us are doing The Black Angels/Black Keys aftershow on Sunday, thinking about Drive-By Truckers on Saturday if anyone wants to catch up.
Hurricane Ike has postponed the Texas-Arkansas football game the weekend of the festival. ESPN had an article up talking about how this will greatly affect traffic in Austin and that hotels will be extremely hard to come by.
So for those who are still thinking about going, you better hurry up b/c hotels will be hard to find in the weeks to come.

Thanks for the heads up...well, I'M not going <sniff, sniff,> but my friends are and have not gotten a hotel yet...didn't even think about the Ike situation. I just called to remind him and he is booking ah otel as I type.
