I'm still holding off for the Rothbury announcement and a few more summer tour announcements before I take the Waka plunge. Nice additions though. It's gonna be a great fest.

Yup same here, the waka lineup is perfect for me, I mean 2 nights of sound tribe! But its only smart to wait for Rothbury. The wait is killing me though I just want to know which one I'm going to so I can start planning instead of speculating

It looks like my cousin is coming in town from Edinburgh during that week, so most likely I will not be going this year. Hopefully nothing messes up the going to Rothbury schedule.

Colorado just started Sunday sales of liquor.
I am pretty sure that you could buy beer at a Sunday football game. Somewhere in my mind I ran into this in Colorado, but it was a long time ago. I know Arkansas is somewhat less progressive, but I have strong hope.
I'll see if there is any mention of no been on Sunday at the other events that have been held at Mulberry Mountain.
You'd just have to have your booze at your vehicle - worst case.
The little bird was right Pauly. Unfortunately there will be no beer served on Sunday including VIP. 12:01am Sunday morning/Sat night will be the cut off point.
But for the most part Sunday will be the pack up day with no Larger acts performing.
At the Harvest the last shows have been done by 3-6am on Sunday....but then again this is new territory for Mulberry Mountain.
Folks - I'll shed some light here. Yes, the inability to provide beer on Sunday is definitely a change from previous years. Regarding entertainment, there will still be quality entertainment offered on Sunday.
Sucks, but it's better to know now then find out on Sunday ya know? I guess just bring back up brews and save them for the Sunday party.

I'm thinking about joining the WET team for this. If I can pull it off, I'll most likely be riding solo out of Knoxville TN, so if anyone needs a buddy and is in the region, let me know! I travel light and will pitch in for gas money of course!

Wish i could pull waka off this year. Just not enough cash for Phish/Roo/Roth/moving in fall to add anything else to the itinerary this year (except a phish phest). That is a really awesome idea for the late nights this year, glad that wakarusa is thinking a little differently than other fests.

oh yeah i got handed a wakarusa flyer from someone at a show recently and it says at the bottom....Wakarusa Activities: hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, costume contest, disc golf, GIANT ferris wheel, hot air balloon rides.
i think i might have to conquer my fear of heights and hit up that hot air balloon ride

I was on their site earlier and noticed they had an extended camping pass you could buy. Only $29 and allows you to camp on site until the 10th instead of having to leave that Monday. I thought that would be badass concidering it saves me $$ trying to get a hotel to stay in the few days before Roo. I just may use this option.

Yea I will be one of them. I will probably bring a book or two to keep myself entertained if there isnt much else to do. I hope this hiking and swimming thing is for real and will continue a bit longer as I definitely want to take part in it all. I bought my ticket the other day. Will be my first Waka, but I think its renewed itself in the new location so in a way its everyones first Waka all over again
I just got an email about their saturday tickets and this was in it "Full Event Passes are still available at the unbelievable price of $119, but hurry! Time is running out to pocket some serious money on your 2009 Wakarusa weekend! Full Event Tickets will increase to the next price level on March 27th. Get your Full Event Passes Now!" Low ticket prices extension is what Lango did for a while.
My lady and I drove down to mulberry mountain yesterday to check out the site and it's a very cool place to see a concert. The ferris wheel should be a big hit up there in the hills. I can't wait to get completely mindporked at the latenight Buckethead/Secret Chiefs 3 throwdown.
