There is also a "Walk This Way" by String Cheese which is frequently mislabeled as well. Also for the record I did mean Snoop. Actually a Phish Snoop collab on Gin and Juice, would be very high in vitamin irony ;D .
^Not that I am aware of, and while I might be considered a novice on PT boards I would like to think I have a pretty good grasp of their material.
oh wow. i admittedly know next to nothing about phish. but i thought that was one of their popular songs. i downloaded one that i knew wasn;t phish, but i thought they had thier own version.
It's hard to believe that a decade after Napster, people still think The Gourds cover of Gin and Juice is by "Phish"
blows my mind actually.
didn't phish actually do gin & juice though?
never.
They have covered Jay-z's" girls girls girls" on 4/15/04 (horribly i might add), as well as Will Smith's "gettin jiggy wit it" on 11/21/98, and also played a brief versin of Tupac's "California Love" out of Tweezer on 7/15/98.
Zimmerman, is the new Byrne/Eno album you're referring to My Life in the Bush of Ghosts? If so that album came out in 1980, they just reissued it. It sounds new though and I couldn't believe that most of that music was made in 79.

They released a new one called Everything That Happens Will Happen Today.
yup. the new Byrne/Eno album is ridiculously good. Just amazing really. Be sure to get the 4 bonus tracks. "Never Thought" is an INCREDIBLE song. I saw his show in September and it was better than almost everything at Bonnaroo last year :-)
I wish he would play the Great Curve from Remain in Light (produced my Eno). That song is so good I question if the Talking Heads are human/from earth.
Have to back up Gouge Phish has never done a Snoop cover at least as far as I know.
I saw the kid rock show in Vegas Rappers Delight was the hip-hop cover along with You shook me all night long, walk this way, actually just brought up this show it in another thread.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
Lol, I figured that would be about as far from Phish as one could get even if that was them doing it. I have heard a few songs off Farmhouse, watched a YouTube video or so, so I do have knowledge, just very limited as I said. I know their reputation for epic live experiences, and live concerts just don't translate that well to me either in audio or on YouTube even unless I really know the band, and it's still by no means the same thing. I just figured it would be better to get to know the band in their natural (or as close as possible) setting. It just seems right, I can't really explain it. I'm just seeing it as my totally random musical journey of the weekend. Anyway, it'll be a good time.
I'm the exact same way. I'm just going to trust all the Phans and hope for the best. I have a feeling I'll 'get it' though.

it was played at the show I saw, it's highly likely it'll be played at Roo.
