My sister had a pretty major surgery recently and has been off of the wagon food and exercise wise for the past few months because of it. She is up a couple of pounds and has joined Weight Watchers online to help her nip it. She's only up like 10 lbs so I think she is a little crazy, but hey, whatever she feels like she needs! We talk all day every day (via email- she lives in Cali), so it'll be good inspiration to nip the lbs that I need to as well.
I went to this outdoor free yoga thing on Saturday morning. They closed down a street in the center and 1000 of us put down our mats for a group session. It was really cool! I'm not usually a yoga person and I am still a little sore!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
And it starts. For motivation, last weekend was a huge party to celebrate my daughters baptism AND a 3 day pool party to celebrate reopening our pool. 5 lbs later and I am ready to start. Thought about blowing it off another week, so thanks for the kick in the ass Bonnie!
Just did day one and it killed me. Amazing how much goes away so fast!

I finally have something to post! I thought I was down 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks but I went to my diet Dr and it is 9. Too fast but it is always primarily water the first few weeks so sweet!

I always think WHO CARES if it's mostly water weight and such? It's a good feeling to start with such a good number. Motivation to keep going! Yippee LLL!

Back from Nashville and back on the horse. I think I would have delayed a couple days, but having a really crap day at work made me need a good run last night. Funny, last year it would have been a good bottle or two of wine. Now I want to go for a run. Maybe tonight I should have a bottle of wine just to test it out.

I dont know if anyone has been running outside, but I was always guessing at how far I was running in the park since it's not really a road. I started using this mapmyrun.com today. Pretty easy little website to get up and running.
Well, after being lazy since I moved, I got a 30 day Snap Fitness trial membership so I'll see if it's any good or not. Really need to get off my ass, either way.

I hate being a stress eater. And my diet pills were in my car when it was stolen. So I'm kinda quacking it up this week. Meh
Sweetie, if anyone has the right to stress eat right now, it is totally YOU. Considering I would have been put into an institution after what you've been through, I think that stress eating is a perfectly OK way to deal with your stress. Love you!

Yeah. She's much nicer than the guy I went to before. I think she will understand. The last Dr. would yell at you and toss you out if you didn't lose what he wanted you to for the two weeks. Plus I lost 9 the first 2 weeks so as long as I stay the same, or only gain an lb or two ....?

Thank you wifey Love you too. I weighed myself tonight, wrong time of day and I am only over about 1-2lb from what I was at last weigh in. Maybe she won't be too upset.

Hey y'all! Everyone sounds like they're really getting back into it!!! Good for everyone!!
Chico - I used the Mapmyrun app when I was at the beach in June and it was great. I love when you hit the miles, the app speaks to you and gives you your time and pace. pretty sweet.
Im back up a couple pounds from the super-duper-low at Roo. I attribute it to the crazy June, then this past month has also been a bit nuts. I'd prefer not to put on a public forum what the EFF I deal with everyday, but it's stressful enough that I'm just not interested in doing ANYTHING when I come home. So that wonderful May that I lost NINE pounds I lost bc I was doing bootcamp in the morning and an hour of cardio at night... every day (minus weekends). So Im trying to get back into that. Bootcamp yesterday was TEN leg stations. I was hurtin' today. Tomorrow will be weights - likely upper body. But Im not scared! Im ready to have another smokin' month. My next goal is in only 22lbs. If I can have another month like May??? I'll be halfway there
.... after I finish these Skittles, I'll drink a nalgene of water. see? compromise!

I read this last night and was like DAYUM!! 10?? I bet you were hurtin'!!
Of course I'm trying to change my training schedule. I have a 5k in September that I want to cut my time on. I want to up my running intensity, reduce my distance, add a day of yoga and cut down on my strength training a little for the next month and a half. Assuming that I can get it cleared by the physical therapist.
Speaking of, I think I get to be free of PT in a month or so!!!!! I can do a squat without severe pain!! YAY!!!

Down almost 20 pounds in the last month. Doing Medifast and bought a treadmill and am feeling great... I am excited to feel a difference in my body and clothes..

My legs were sore until Friday morning. It was an eye opener - A) I thought if I had that station at the end of May, I doubt I would have been that sore bc I was killin' the workouts. So it was kind of hard to have it up in my face that I've back-tracked. but B) it was kind of cool to know that I was ABLE to do all the stations even after the lapse in intensity for 2 months. And a good reminder that I can still reach muscle failure if I push myself. That said, I need to get my motivation back. Roo was a major factor in my health goals before - I need another good and defined motivator. "just getting healthy" is fine and good, but for me, I need something finite. ....is there lots of walking at Moog? I think that'll be my inspiration. OH WAIT - we have a Color Run to consider... Okay, motivation found. Now I just have to use it.
And MLG!!!!!!! GET IT!!! Way to go on that loss! You are working it, and working it well Good for you!

Today is my official last day of physical therapy!! I'm a much better runner and exerciser because of it. You better believe my therapist is getting a nice gift and card tonight.
So, when do we start getting in shape for next year?
I've actually been thinking about bumping this thread! Chico, THE FUN AINT GONNA STOP!! Yeah for PT ending!!!!!
I got back on the wagon last week. For most of the summer, I had only been the gym about once a week (sometimes less haha). Last week, I started to get back on my game. Bring it folks. Bring it.

I'll jump in here too! Still only 4+ from the low point at Roo. But Im okay with that! As much slacking as I've done, Im surprised that 4 is all I've managed to rack up. And that 4 is fading, so I'll take it.
Im still bootcamping - but since the trainer has moved workouts back to only MWF, it's hard to make it all 3 days. (i know some people are probably like, "waa waa waa, mayo only has to make it to workout THREE days) BUT it's so much easier to just go EVERY DAY. I wish we had M-F workouts. Anyhow, got some amazeballs deals on some running gear the other day, so I've been pounding the pavement daily. The weather in ATL has helped tremendously too - so lovely to run in overcast breeziness.
Keep it up chico and bonz! Lets get check-ins from some other folks??? NOW is the best time to lose and get fit and create good habits - before the Thanksgiving and Christmas goodies start coming in to invade our office kitchens....

Wooo! You two rule.
I've finally gotten to start running without pain again after a 3 week hiatus, which was my own fault and pushed my PT out until today. BUT, I ran 12 miles last week and had a very respectable 5k on Saturday. So much so, that I've decided to push my running season out until Nov/Dec to hit one more 5k. I'm like 1 minute from my goal time this year. Sooooooooo close.
Sounded like we had a few people that were gettin' fit earlier this month. I like to hear more!

I've been slacking on my interval training the past 3 weeks, just because my freelance work has had me on 14 hr days....sleep won out over exercise. But I'm back on the wagon this week. Its incredible how much performance you can lose in 3 weeks...hoping it comes back just as quick!!
I'm down 44lbs overall as of this morning... at least that held steady even though I've been lazy 23lbs to go!
Congrats valentine! That's an incredible accomplishment and once you get past half way, it is so much easier.
Like a lot of you, I have fallen off the wagon but not too bad. I am up 7 lbs so not great but manageable. I figure I have about 30 total to lose and I am 20 from really good shape so the new goal is 20 by new years.
Winter is the best time to do this so I am going to force myself out of bed to get it done.
