Including to day we got six week left people before bonnaroo week. I plan on lifting five days for five weeks till June and then do cardio the first week of June and the Monday of bonnaroo week. I am going to try and stay focused on my diet too. Still plenty of time people but don't wait forever bonnaroo is almost here. Heck I bet I lose 5 pounds during bonnaroo. At least.
Don't worry about your weight so much people! My weight fluctuated so much this week. Last Tuesday I was at 173.4, Fri after mowing grass 177, Saturday night 185 (after big meal, if you've never had a botana platter you are missing out). Today after workout 176.2. In one week thats up 11.6 and back down 8.3, almost a twenty pound swing altogether. Just keep working and keep in mind how your clothes fit. That is (in my opinion) a better indicator cuz muscle weighs more than fat so if you lose fat and gain muscle you could still be thinner and weigh more.

I'm very happy to say that, at 31, I am now in the best shape of my life. A few years ago I was a good bit overweight (top was 182, which is not great for 5'6"). When I finally committed to hitting the gym regularly, it all clicked. I'm motivated to generally eat healthier and care for myself. Energy level is definitely up, too. I never worked super hard or was super strict, but over about 3 1/2 years I've shed almost 40 pounds and am lifting a good bit more than when I started. And running—I just recently hit a personal goal of running under a 6 minute mile, much better than when I ran cross country in high school.
Plus, the wife is noticing the difference physically, which is always a motivator.
Speaking of running, anyone else run or otherwise work out in Vibrams (aka toe shoes)? I can't imagine going back to regular running shoes.

I just started running back in January, and I am by no means fast, but before when I used to attempt running in regular running shoes my shins would kill me, I'd have to stop after a minute or so. That was even when I was fitted and had Mizunos .I switched to Zemgear this year when I started out--they have a ninja toe (split between the big toe and the rest), and I can't believe the difference! Love my minimalist shoes!

Me too buddy 34 going on 35 and I am in the best shape of my life. It wouldn't have taken much but still. Same as you I was overweight and got my shizz together hitting the gym and eating better. Way to go!
Switchback to cardio for a bit. I haven't done an hour of cardio in like 12 weeks. Just trying to change it up I guess. keep it up everyone. I know you can do it.

After 2 weeks of full on being good, I had a BAD weekend, ate out twice, drank lots of wine, and ate a lot of chocolate.... But I am at 133 lbs, so I am happy. I got into dress pants today that did not fit for the past 6+ months. Back to being good today! I think I can realistically be 128 lbs when we go to Italy in 18 days......
I think I am going to stick w the cardio only routine till the festival! I know it will help keep me going all day long. And all night long for that matter. Last stretch people let close out on a high note.
down 95 as of Saturday morning....was 265...now 170
That's awesome! How long did that goal take? Did you lose more in the beginning or did it average out over the months? And HOW?
took a little less than 2 years total. lost between 60 and 70 in the last 9 months. Diet and exercise. With my new job i end up eating a lot less then i used to and eventually the portion sizes just started shrinking to. dont need to eat as much any more, and the more i exercise the more energy i have at this point.
I don't know what it is but I'm just tired of working out alone. After I've gained the weight back it's been harder for me to push myself. It's that feeling of 'I have to do this AGAIN!' Guess I should've thought of that when I was eating a box of Oatmeal Creme Pies.
I won't let you all down though! Operation Sexy Token begins now. Roo is so close. I can smell it.....I think that's what I smell......wait what IS that smell.....

Doc says I'm about 3 lbs lighter than I thought. So that's good. Hopefully the tests he ordered will shed some light on why my stomach and metabolism are so messed up. We shall see...
Home stretch y'all! Now we have to get ready for the roo run too! Bumping up the cardio I got 11 sessions left till I leave Tuesday June 11 for bonnaroo! Keep it up y'all cant wait to see you all there.!
So this spring I barely tried... I decided Friday to recommit. Wasn't my best weekend, but was far from my worst. Drank both nights, but didn't get drunk. And besides the half a slice of cheesecake for breakfast on Sunday, my food was.. ok. Better than, "OMG! I stuffed almost an entire pizza to the face!" right?
Lose weight and get fit for Bonnaroo 2014 starting up!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I kayaked thirteen miles yesterday. I have no idea if it burns many calories but it surely helps my wimpy arms. I barely tried this spring either Bonz, especially in comparison to how hard I was working it last year. Time for everybody to kick some butt. Any cheesecake ya don't want please email my way. I'll get on all fours, snort like a pig, and inhale it all 'til I'm the fattest dude alive. 700 pounds by Roo 2014 is my new goal.
So last night I drunkenly come home (I was drinking vodka on the rocks.. that's healthy, right?) and somehow had the energy to make myself a smoothie to bring to work today. Win! I don't recommend to make drunken smoothies. I just had my first sip and got a huge chunk of peach pit. Fail. I'm afraid to keep going with it because I don't know how much pit is in there...
Almost put this in the Drunken Rambling thread, but decided to come here. Besides the vodka, the past few days I have done pretty well!

I weighed myself today and I've hit the 80lb mark. Now I just need abs. Besides occasional planks I've completely avoided ab workouts. My goal is to wear bikini tops next Roo so with some hard work and the help of a little plastic surgery it just might happen.

After losing 6lbs with all the moving at Roo, I am simply maintaining my 35lb loss at the moment. With the sinus infection and birthday parties and cake and no exercise it's a wonder that I'm holding steady. After the holiday weekend coming up, it's back to the grind. Lost 30 in the first 6 months of this year, going to see if I can lose another 20 by the end of the year, and then kick it into high gear with the weight training.
