Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I weighed myself today and I've hit the 80lb mark. Now I just need abs. Besides occasional planks I've completely avoided ab workouts. My goal is to wear bikini tops next Roo so with some hard work and the help of a little plastic surgery it just might happen.

BlackDynamite's tip for losing weight:
Boost your metabolism!
Unfortunately, excessive cardio actually hurts your metabolism. The best way to get a kickstart from your metabolism is by lifting weights with short rest periods. A few times a week, a HIIT running session will do a great job of giving you cardio benefits, plus a boost in your metabolism. Good luck to any and all for next year! Once I get some things situated, it's back to the gym 4-5 days a week for me!
Anyone looking for more info. on this subject just lmk. I've sifted through so much crap about excercise and health that I hate seeing people do things based on "bro science".
I was hoping that was the case . She just looks so tiny in her picture haha!
Now that I know you won't be withering away and dying Jenny, congrats!! That's really incredible. The hardest part is keeping it that way. It seems like you've implemented more of a life style change than a quick fix strategy though, and that's exactly how to do it, so go you!!

That whole exchange made me giggle. No plans to wither away or gain it all back

Everyone needs to giggle on a Tuesday (Scientifically speaking, the worst day of the week)! I'd be worried if gaining it all back was in the plans from the get-go .

Yea I never really know quite where I am at. I am almost 6' and under 150 now. Some say way to skinny but I was always a heavy kid so sometimes I am just out to prove something to myself. I will say, I just bought some killer steaks cr****
Guys, I've been on the wagon for almost 3 weeks now! Now, someone talk me out of the mayo covered grinder that I'm craving (thank you MOEMS Logistics thread). WITH chips jammed inside. Nooommm nom nom nom

I can appreciate the concept, since humans are not really designed to digest dairy, but I don't think I could give it up. I tried for a few days when I thought my son might have a dairy or milk protein allergy and it was torture. good luck to ya

I def experienced the benefit of being dairy free. It makes me bloat big time but I could never go without it either. Even just minimizing it to cheese and lattes helps!
Going to check out a gym this evening and hopefully sign up. I'm tired of being chubby and ready to lose some pounds.
I need to get back in to going regularly. it's addictive and I always feel so much better when I go. I don't know if your gym has group fitness classes but I love the Les Mills programs- especially Body Jam (which is dancing, so fun) and Body Attack (insanely intense cardio, amazing workout)

I probably went the opposite direction of most people and go with whole fat dairy whenever it's available. It just keeps me full so much longer than 0% or 2%. I'm pretty sure I dont have any dairy issues though esp considering I drink about a gallon of milk a week.
Nice. That's the one I go to as well. Can't beat the value, IMO.
I'm glad there is someone out there that goes to a Planet Fitness! It's hard to research on the internet because people only write about their bad experiences so everything I've read has been bad. But I think it's worth a try for $10/month.

When I have dairy I usually go with full fat. I don't really think there is a nutritional benefit to skim milk products, right?

I think you can argue back and forth all day long. Skim has fewer calories, slightly more protein and calcium, 50% of the calories are from sugar. Whole milk has more calories, but only 30% of the calories are from sugar. What's healthier? IDK, but I crave fewer snacks in the morning with a bowl of whole milk and special k than I do with skim.

The only not so great experience I had was when I tried to meet with a trainer. He was a jerk to try and work with and he was fired shortly after I attempted working with him. So I just stick with doing my own thing and getting out of there. I did upgrade to the 20/mo with for the unlimited guest usage but I haven't used it in awhile and I'm downgrading once they run the next promotion. Really, you can't go wrong with $10/month! Every other gym membership I have had has been $50+

I'd argue to pick fat over sugar. There are plenty of better ways to get any extra protein and calcium.
(look at me, talking like I know what I'm talking about)

I joined PF about a month ago and it's great. I honestly feel like there is no judgement like the commericals and signs say. $10/month...how could you go wrong?!
PS losing weight before Roo '14 would be amaze-balls. Is there really a 'group' or whatever doing that? <Newbie question>
