Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
When you submit your official weigh in pictures, it will tell you your goal weight. I was confused and couldn't find much information online about it until i gave it a shot on one of my other bets I'm currently doing. Our inforoo one doesn't start accepting weigh in pics until I think the 11th-13th.
And what coachella humps?
I think it will be fun, too. Glad so many other people have joined up! I was going to be sad if it was only like 3 of us lol
Oh I am going to Coachella this weekend and next. By Coachella humps, I mean all the tempting food that lies at every corner. My diet has been a strict low calorie, high protein. How in the world am I going to keep up my calorie goals when THIS STUFF is around ?!?!
then monday, weigh in and your weight will be a little higher than normal, but will quickly be lost. YA CATCH MY DRIFT?
I'm with you, only that plan is ruined by my biggest loser contest I'm in at work! We are in week 13 right now and the final weigh in is April 27th. I can't take even one day to slowdown the progress.
Wow this thread has dead with the creation of the Dietbet! I just ordered a new (used) fitbit off of eBay (ala alyssa) to replace the one that I lost 2 weeks ago. I'll be back on the challenge game soon! (Hopefully)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I was thinking the same thing! I am going to keep any random weight loss discussion to this thread and only post game related stuff to the other thread.
On that note-- I actually managed to LOSE weight despite Coachella!!! I was so worried because when I got back on the scale on Monday I was +10lbs from the weekend. I was so worried that after the water weight balanced out, I would be at a 1-2 pound gain... but NOPE!
After the water weight drop, I actually LOST weight! I couldn't believe it!!! I actually burned more calories than I did eat at a MUSIC FESTIVAL.
Here was the scale progression for this Coachella weekend
Today, I went out for my lunch break to pick up a card from Target. I ended up buying myself some new shorts and a tank (a size smaller than normal bc that's my new size now! yay!) and then afterwards, I went to stop at Newk's but they didn't have any parking spots so I took that as a sign to drive back to work and eat the lunch I brought. I'm so proud of myself for not going out to eat. And it didn't take much will power to keep on driving. Things are changing for me lol only took 5 months to quit all my bad eating habits
I've moved so little with being sick I'm unranked on Fitbit lol. Tomorrow I will weigh in and see what damage this flu has done. I just got the 21 day fix in the mail and those are the smallest containers ever! Hopefully I can actually participate in our dietbet next week.

Using the My Fitness Pal app, and keeping yourself accountable is such a great tool and really does work. Im coming up on an 100 day streak, (day 99 today) and ive lost 10 pounds. For me, at this point 10 pounds is a lot because im pretty much at a good and manageable weight already (as compared to when i originally made this thread). You just have to keep it up, even if you had a bad day, just start again tommorrow!

MapMyFitness has been the best way for me to lose weight, and at what I feel is a healthy pace. I've lost just over 6 pounds in just over a month and entering calories + workouts is the only lifestyle change I've made (have always generally run a few times a week). The simple act of typing it in makes me really think about that extra beer or late night snack.

I gave up on it with school. Tasting different things throughout the day just became impossible to input in the app. But now that I'm at the end of my program (my last day in the campus restaurant is tomorrow ), I don't have to worry about having to constantly taste and try dishes.
Also, if anyone wants to friend me on myfitnesspal (my username is the same as here) and yell at me when I'm slacking off, that'd be great.

Yeah, when it comes down to it, i think the best thing it does is make you think twice before eating that random snack. It makes it easier to say no thanks to that cookie or brownie at work cause you are saving those calories for something else (like maybe a beer;))

Car is in the shop for the next few days. I am taking this opportunity to save $$ on a rental car and walk to work! This is going to be an extra 5 miles roundtrip per day, so I'm stoked for the final push.
I say final push because Monday is my final weigh-in for the Biggest Loser contest at work! Sweet sweet victory is right around the corner, and I can taste it. It tastes like avocado. Sweet, sweet avocado.

I don't know how anyone can ever lose without a calorie counting app.
This right here is the "secret" that everyone looks for when exploring how to lose weight. Over and over again I would commit to a diet and nothing would come and it wouldn't stick.
It was not until I started counted calories diligently that a saw results..... Then the most noblest of truths was bestowed upon me: When calories out exceed calories in, you lose weight. After years of skepticism and excuses, I now know-- it's that simple.
I have been holding strong at the 168-169 range for WEEKS. I have literally being going crazy bc I've never stayed at one weight for so long. Well, I got on the scale this morning and finally saw 167. I was in shock. Moved the scale around just to "test it" and make sure it was working properly and everytime... 167.4 - In the past, once I dropped down like that, the next few pounds are quick to go, too. I'M SO EXCITED!

Awesome job! I've been stuck at the same weight for a few months but it's probably because I supplement meals for beer. I haven't drank in FIVE days and I lost 3lbs. Last night I watched hockey and drank sparking water while my friends had beer. It was a sad moment but as soon as the diet bet is done I'm getting deep dish and beer to celebrate. Then back to business.

I know exactly what you are talking about when you 'feel' more pounds about to drop, and it works like that for me too! I'll plateau for a week or two and then *bam* 2-4 lbs would drop-- it's been like that for me for the past three months. Drink tons of water!
There's no way I am coming out on top of the Dietbet. I haven't even really made any changes to my diet/exercise :/ Per normal, I'll eat a good meal or two and then eat badly/drink for the desk.

Last night I was happy with myself because I did a lot of food prep. Like A LOT. I have a tendency to cook way too much. But after cooking it all I remembered that I leave for Florida Thursday morning! I have three days to eat 10 hard boiled eggs, more than two pounds of chicken thighs, a giant bag of brussel sprouts, almost two pounds of sauteed "power greens" and a large portion of sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms. Plus I have leftovers from dinner last night, dinner plans tonight and probably dinner plans either tomorrow or Wednesday.
My roommate is on vacation this week as well, so I can't tell her just to help herself. Nothing is really freezable besides the chicken- something I am not really worried about finishing because I luuuuurve chicken thighs. And I often give away portions of soup and chili and such when I make a lot, but offering a portion of sauteed veggies is just weird.

We need to buy a house together already so I can cook healthy dinners for you.
I plan out every meal for the week or else I eat bad too. The drinking is by far the hardest part.

I actually LOOOOVE to cook. I just have a weird cooking schedule. I can't really get home from work and cook dinner. If I am hungry, I eat. I cook large portions once a week and reheat the rest of the week. I don't have the patience to cook a meal while hungry. I end up snacking and am full before it's done. That being said, we could live a wonderful life taking turns cooking meals for each other. Another reason why our marriage will be perfect. I have always wanted someone to feed beside myself (hence why I always give food to my downstairs neighbor).

I went to the gym on Monday! Going back again today even though I'm sore. Skipped yesterday because I knew I would need a recovery day after going at it again after such a long hiatus from working out.
Also spoke to my doc yesterday about my previous attempt at losing weight and how I didn't make much progress (only 12 lbs in 6 months). She is putting me on some medication to see if I have underlying medical issues that are interfering with my weight loss. We'll see how that goes.
Lost my fitbit again over the weekend, more than likely at the movie theater. Damn thing just kept coming unclipped. I emailed customer service yesterday, started trading emails today, and have a new one being shipped to me free of cost.

You are amazing to stay on top of this and take care of your physical health even despite any adverse stuff going on---for example.... the worst joint/back pain known to humans. Just wanted to take a moment to say your persistence and energy is inspiring.
