holy shit the mooney suzuki is absolute rock and roll brilliance live. they played the shelter in detroit and were in the crowd and the guitar player was soloing on top of the bar.
has anyone seen spiritualized live. a definite must see. especially for anyone whos seen radiohead.
holy nuts the mooney suzuki is absolute rock and roll brilliance live.
oh yes, you're right with that!
i've seen them three times now, and they kill me every time. every time has been at the Metro (wish they'd mix it up) here in Chicago, and they never disappoint. sammy james will climb the light scaffold on one side, and the lead guitarist (name escapes me) will climb the opposite and they'll hang off playing one handed solos...lol...or climbing through the crowd on each other's shoulders playing.

Bands: Phish Yonder Mountain String Cheese The Samples Pearl Jam
Individuals: Keller Williams Neil Young Damien Rice Bob Dylan Sam Bush
I know this topic is about bands that are still around, but I have to say that seeing Pink Floyd with 90,000 of my closest friends in old Cleveland Stadium was a magical experience.

polyphonic spree is awesome. saw them at a club called the shelter in detroit which is basically a basement to another club. they had to bring out a extention for the stage to fit the whole band on it.

The Dead Phish Col. Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade (missed 'roo1 but saw them in Indy, great show - except Enor wasn't there!) The Black Keys (2-man band with a really full sound, kinda bluesy) and I know nobody's ever heard of them but the Wailhounds... they're a local band but they can really jam (or wail, as they would say) Oh! And 311 puts on a great show too
