Hopefully you can beat the man dressed up in a chicken suit pushing a colonel sanders in a wheel chair. I think even more will be dressed up this year, last year it was about 5 days earlier and the crazies hadn't come out of the woodwork yet.

for those that went before, how much did you end up paying for tickets and hotel nights for the whole weekend? I'd imagine it would be pretty pricey...I looked up some stuff online but I'd rather have a first-hand example

There is/was a deal at the Marriott on Canal (perfect location) for $99/night with code promotion voovooa, which is a GREAT price for Halloween weekend in NOLA, but i heard the deal is sold out, though I would keep trying it, with the hope of suddenly grabbing a cancellation. Otherwise, shop around, I'd recommend staying in the Quarter for convenience, if at all possible, but since it is Halloween weekend in NOLA, start looking now, rates are just gonna go up up UP... plus airfare, taxi, food, drink, yadayadayada...
A FESTY in NOLA is a PARTY, ESPECIALLY on [glow=orange,4,300]HALLOWEEN [/glow] ;D ... do your research, and if you can swing it, DO IT!

If you can get yourself to NOLA you've got a room with LRH. Worry about that and we can try to figure something out. Maybe we can get the fam to all pitch in like $20.
More importantly worry about paying your back tuition so you cn go back to school and get a real job and then go to festies after working for shit pay anyway the first few years out of school like we did. Think long term.
So I'll be there again this year, after skipping out on last year's lackluster lineup. Eminem kinda confuses me, but Flaming Lips, Widespread, Ween and Justice......

ooh that's gonna be tough lol! i missed last year but remember the year before was pretty wicked as far as costumes go. we tend to do a group-themed costume so as soon as i get a headcount for our crew i can start planning!! ;D

there are a few there and most are in good proximity to the trolley or have a shuttle to city park
