i'm watching this all the way through for the first time. i have seen rather large random chunks of it, but never cohesively and not all the way through. an episode will pop up and i'll have remembered watching it (this was mainly bc of the amc marathons they would do, i guess?). currently on s4ep4.
Walt is a piece of shit from day one and the deeper i go the more i hate him. i remember seeing a lot of stuff online about hatred for Skyler, but i really don't see it? just had to get that off my chest for this 15 year old show.

I have lost count of how many times I’ve watched Breaking Bad all the way through. It’s a lot. Every time we watch it, it feels a little different and I hate someone different the most. I think some hate for Skylar is founded and some is unfounded.
She comes across, especially in the beginning but really throughout, as very controlling and often condescending (telling Walt to put his foot down with Bogdon, scolding him for buying a ream of paper with the wrong credit card, Walt’s birthday handjob while she watches her eBay auction). She’s also unconcerned with how Walt feels about anything, like when she finds out about his diagnosis and it doesn’t matter to her in the slightest whether he wants to do treatment or not because she wants him to. And she’s kind of a hypocrite. It’s different kinds of illegal, but signing off on Ted’s cooked books is still illegal. Not to mention treating Walt like shit because of what he’s doing, but also keeping his secrets because she doesn’t want her life blown up.
She’s also been thrown into a terrible situation that not a lot of people are going to know how to handle at all, and there are other people on the show (Walt among them for sure) who are definitely worse than her, but she’s got a fair amount of serious flaws.
