If you haven't seen it y'all should watch Talihina Sky: The Story of KoL (it streams on Netflix). They're awkward people and I think the doc kind of explains a lot of that. I enjoyed it anyway.
I also find their weird singing accents nearly incomprehensible but I find Caleb's voice to be extremely sexy so I listen and sing along anyway

I saw them at hangout last year and they were amazing don't know why there is so much hate but can't wait for tonight

Never seen them live but I know they work hard to make their sound what it is and I rather enjoy their music. Have fun tonight!

I'm pretty sure the guys in KoL even hate Sex on Fire.

seen them couple of times can't believe i missed their show in Atlanta hopping for redemption at bonnaroo but doubt they will be there might have to catch them in new orleans. they sound great live pretty much same as in record. from what I've seen they got a great setlist they got trani back. and they only hate sex on fire because thats the kind of song that took america to recognize them

What a strange movie that was. It does really explain where they came from, and how far they've come.
I'm going to see them at the end of Feb. I haven't been much of a fan as of late, but my brother loves them and I promised I'd go with him. This will be the third show I've been to (including Roo in '10) and those shows were very different experiences from the other. Aha Shake Heartbreak is a great album though so I'm hoping they play a fair amount of old stuff. Mechanical Bull is sitting on the shelf looking at me, so I'll make sure to dive into that soon.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

I enjoyed the footage in that documentary of speaking in tongues in the Pentecostal church tying into Caleb's vocals on Trani and the awesome accompanying live footage from Bonnaroo 2004
I enjoy a lot of their older material, but I'm open to their new stuff as well. Saw them in Atlanta last Thursday and I was very impressed. The setlist was great (they played a lot of my favorites from old albums) and the visuals and lights were amazing. Gary Clark Jr. was also incredible as usual.

Also, fun fact, when Steve Earle first saw KOL starting out in the studios in Nashville he gave them copies of Exile In Main Street and The Late Great Townes Van Zandt which they acknowledge using to hone their early style.

they closed with trani before the encore! KoL really have stepped up this tour... better than I've ever seen them. Only thing is I wish they would have played Notion and Comeback story. 27 song setlist...not bad

Wish they would have stuck with this instead of following what U2 was doing.

I think they're really trying to get back to themselves now. They've had some rough times over the last few years as a band and as individuals so maybe this is sort of a redemption kind of thing. Sad I missed the ATL show.
