Raleigh, NC is getting a music festival in September called Hopscotch. Goes down September 9-11. Some big time touring indie rock acts (already know two of the headliners), plus a lot of locals. I believe they're supposed to announce an initial lineup sometime next month.

I'm not even going to this festival, but seriously man, you can't just say I know the headliners than not say anything.
Know one of the guys booking it. Would get in deep doo doo if I revealed them. Shouldn't be much longer. If I had to guess, it'll be out by the end of March (my bet is on sometime next week)
Heard two more names tonight. This is shaping up to be one of the strongest fest lineups of the year

Not sure. They're working on the website, so they should have that info up soon
I am already superfuckingexcited for this. Too bad it is 5 months away. Hopefully all the bands I want to see play in the 18+ clubs and not the 21+venues.

Stupid quacking NC liquor laws
I'm 21, but I feel for those who aren't quite there and will have to miss out on some bands

They just added Raekwon, Bowerbirds, Dungen, Woods, some killer local bands (In The Year of The Pig, Bellafea, Floating Action), Locrian (hadn't heard of them before the additions, but checked them out and they are killer), and a huge local hip-hop show.

I should probably open a newspaper once in a while or something. I'm totally going to hit this. I love that it's downtown. Hopefully all of the acts I want to see will end up at The Hive or Tir Na Nog.
