How long do we have and I'm pretty sure I remember there being a pattern in previous years. What day do they announce such things? Not so much into this year's headliners as I am the under card....bring on more!

So it really is tomorrow...and it's in similar fashion to the original lineup being announced? What source is this from...I did minimal searching and couldn't find anything.

I've watched that about 15 times in a row and it gets funnier every time!
I'm gonna guess Tuesday, March 2nd. That's when the second payment will be deducted from payment plan ticket buyers. They've released the lineup, the last two years, on the day they've taken out the first payment. I don't remember about the artists additions from last year though. If it was March 25th, then I'm sure the payment was deducted before then. Anyways, I'll be excited for that day until it comes and nothing happens, much like February 2nd 2010.

this is like me at the as tall as lions show last weekend. i thought the crowd hated them, i thought it was horrible. the band said it was their best show of the tour so far and their merch table was jumping after the show. it's all about perception. from where i was standing it was a catastrophe. from where you are standing bonnaroo is awful this year and they are hurting. from where they are standing, they have already sold 3 tiers of the tickets and are in great shape to sell out this year. and they are not even done.

Or to put it another way, Scrooge McDuck is too busy swimming in his gold to notice that he's not wearing pants.
Can I point out how much faster it took last year to sell out third tier tickets?
I'd like you to. How much faster did they sell out third tier tickets? I don't remember.
I don't remember exactly, but it seems like they went through both Tier 2 and Tier 3 the day tickets went back on sale. I think Tier 2 sold out in a matter of minutes (maybe 30?) and Tier 3 within a few hours. That puts them a couple of weeks behind last year's pace, but I think last year's pace was faster than most of the previous years (Phish probably had something to do with that).
2nd tier was gone in less than an hour, maybe as quick as a 20 minutes. I believe it took them about 2 weeks to announce that third tier tickets were gone though.

Does anyone know exactly how many tickets are in each "tier"? For all we know there could be 1000 tickets in each of the first three tiers, and the rest in the bottom tier.
I'm guessing that without significants adds, this will lowest attended 'Roo in recent history.
possibly. how far back in "recent history" are we looking though?
we'll have to wait and see......but even then I never fully trust what festival promoters claim for the number of tickets sold. They always have to make it seem like a big year in order to look good.
