Everyone's all pissy and going back and forth. People who like the lineup want to defend it. Those of us that don't want to complain. We're like civil war era up in here. Shootin' our mouth muskets at each other and shizz. Emancipating retaliating and regurgitating. Eviscerating and masturbating.

Gogol Bordello might be added. Their new record (produced by Rick Rubin!) comes out in April. They're touring heavily beginning next week into the first week of June. They weren't there in 09, and they returned in 08 after an epic Bonnaroo debut in 07. Of course, everyone knows what I'm talking about, heh..
I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.
Also Airline, when do we start following people around and yelling at them and ruining their time, do we just get a barricade so they can't see their favorite acts or what.
You guys just try and keep me away from Rise Against or OK Go.
Dare you.
I'm gonna join you guys. Look for me wearing this t-shirt.

Hey, remember when Rubin wasn't producing shitty stuff like the new Metallica/Weezer/Slipknot/Limp Bizkit album? His name on an album doesn't mean much.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

But they haven't even announced half of the lineup yet. There are gonna be a bijillion adds this year. They will have to start earlier this year.
Ummm....there are 92 acts on the line up right now.... The full line up last year had 152 acts....subtract 53 cafe acts, 3 cinema acts and 5 comedy acts....and you get 91 acts.....again, there are 92 acts on the current line-up.
We have most if not all of the stage/tent line up.
My only problem with this is JBT. We are getting him bare minimum and poss. a few more.

I haven't heard any of those albums but I think what he did with the Avetts was pure genius.

Biggest fear? They cut the set times.
That would be tragic
I wouldn't be too worried. If you look at the schedule from 2009, there were 97 stage/tent acts Thursday - Sunday, which includes Phish twice. The above poster is correct that we have 92 so far, which leaves room for about 5 more non-cafe/non-comedy acts (i.e. JBT, Alison Krauss, 311, Mew, ????)

^^Have to disagree on on both accounts. I thought it was very good but not great. A welcome change after St. Anger. I don't know if I would credit the improvement to going with Rick Rubin or just finally ditching Bob Rock. Probably a mix of both. In Response to Britt Daniel's Question, DM was well recieved by both Metallica fans and critics, but it's not considered on the Kill Em' all Thru Black Album Era level.
Rick Rubin didn't seem to have any effect on the Avett Brothers whatsoever. How was I and Love and You so different from Emotionalism?
Other than it being a lot better. Just listen to them. Emotionalism is so sparse, but wonderful. It's very minimal. I and Love and You is so full. It has piano, drums, fiddle etc... I think the two albums sound completely different. In fact, I think they kind of butcher them (new songs) live, at least from what I've watched on youtube. I'm not bashing any of their material or their live show because I love everything they've released and I am stoked for them at Roo and Hullabalou.

Didn't Metallica catch a lot of grief about the way Death Magentic was recorded? I seem to remember something about how it was recorded too loud and if you cranked it up on any stereo, it would almost sound like pure distortion.

Yeah supposedly the sound on the CDs there were some complaints. Apparently digital downloads and Guitar Hero sounded better. I did Vinyl and Digital download which i have not noticed any sound problems.
