And just to touch on the Dodgers-Giants rivalry... almost all the Giants success came when they were still in NY. Until 2010 they hadn't sniffed a championship in SF and the rivalry was completely one sided. Winning those recent world series finally made them relevant after years of shit.
I just want the padres to get one WS win before I die. I feel like that's not asking too much lol.
Honestly they have the best team on paper right now imo. Of course that doesn't guarantee anything (as a Dodgers fan, I'm all too familiar with that.) But it could be SD best chance since 98' if their pitching holds up.

Here's to hoping! And that's a big if lol. Just hoping everyone stays healthy and that Tatis comes back alright (in the outfield).

I mean half of the dodgers pennants were in Brooklyn so weird flex

Exactly one of their seven championships were in Brooklyn compared to six in L.A, so not really.
I mean, he's not the same Syndergaard from 4-5 years ago, but if they can turn Tyler Anderson into an All Star and get Andrew Heaney to pitch like he did, I'm at least holding out hope they can turn Thor around too. Not like $13m is a hefty price tag for one year.

the point of the matter is that the Giants are one of the top franchises of all time and have been one of the best franchises since the 2000s. they're not some schlub franchise recklessly mortgaging their future just to pull a fast one on LA.

My point was simply that the rivalry had been pretty one sided since the teams moved to the west coast, especially if we're talking WS championships. It took them over 50 years to win a WS in SF and I wouldn't say they were one of the best franchises until the 2010s and had a great run over 5-6 years. Never said they were a schlub franchise. But still, fk them.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
lol that couldn't be more entitled, the Giants had more titles in the last decade than the dodgers, and more appearances than the dodgers all time. I don't think they make moves purely out of spite for the dodgers.
Considering people have almost died due to this rivalry? Its spite along with other things.
