I LOVE WEEZER! I'll admit it, I am jumping for joy that they are finally on the farm! Weezer will always rock in my world, and there are lot of memories from them since the Blue album...lots of memories for me!!! I will def be there! (I didn't see another Weezer thread, so mods lock if necessary.)

I only like Weezer and haven't really purposefully listened to them in years, but if they get a sat night early evening slot I'll probably check them out and would be EXTREMELY pleased to see say it ain't so, the sweater song, or island in the sun.

yessss! WEEZER!!! i love them too.... but I will admit that there most recent stuff hasn't been... well, up to my Weezer standards, but for all the tracks they have recently put out that I don't care for there are probably two or three old tracks that I love.
I love Weezer. Yes, they are not anywhere the same as they used to be. Yes, they have had some albums that were let downs. But for some reason I will always love Weezer. =w=
Hope Rivers has some cool guests. Julia Nunes covered Keep Fishin last year, maybe together this year.
rivers is the most awkward person i have ever "met" (read: observed up close at a party). he also has a strong taste for asian ladies, in case that's interesting to anyone.

HAHAHA!!! Once a LONG long time ago...ahem...I saw them at First Avenue (Minneapolis). While leaving the afterparty, I noticed that Rivers was standing in the entry way calling the ads for Asian females (I could see what he was reading in paper and hear what he was calling about). I didn't get to say anything to him...but I made sure to lightly and 'accidentally' bump into him.....and then said 'oh, sorry - excuse me'. I got a slight nod! That is my personal Rivers experience, and it goes with what you've got! Just wanted to share!
I just had to jump up and do the Big Giddy Weezer Happy Dance! I don't think there is ANY band confirmation that could have given me a bigger pure ear to ear GRIN than THAT one did!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
No embarrassment here, you just go ahead and throw on ANYole'album you want and CRANK it on UP! Then watch me turn happy as can be! Gawd I just love these guys, thanks for starting this thread and thanks for calling it that! They are gonna do such a bang up job on the Farm! ;D

I love Weezer. I went to see them open for Blink 182, and it was CRAZY how much better Weezer was. They are really great live. Rivers did this awesome thing where he looped himself playing each instrument to start Island in the Sun (at least I think it was IiTS). It was off the Mutha-Flippin' Chains!
I think so many people "hate" on their new stuff but Weezer live is still a great show and, as my buddy Pup says, if you don't like them, Don't watch them but leave the rest of us away from your bashing.

i am so excited for their set! seem them twice before and it will be a great show. though i think it will be unlikely, how sick would it be if they closed with this song at sunset, it would be magical
i just thought id share the setlist to my first weezer show and possibly most awesome shows ever. 7-26-2002 camden nj 1 undone 2 getchoo 3 burndt jam 4 in the garage 5 the good life 6 hash pipe 7 say it aint so 8 no other one 9 dont let go 10 surf wax america 11 why bother? 12 dope nose 13 my name is jonas 14 el scorcho 15 december encore 16 buddy holly 17 only in dreams
that concert was amazing and pretty much all of it is on youtube if you look it up but here is only in dreams from it
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

And here's a scan of my fave Weezer sticker ever!
I found it on 8/31/06, on the Saturday afternoon before a kickass $10 Violent Femmes show. Found it for $2 bucks in a store on the Boardwalk in Badass Seaside Heights, New Jersey! (And if you've been to Seaside Heights before, you know exactly WHY I'm laughing , THAT... Plus Drunken Go-Cart Racing around a giant Boardwalk fake Mountain at 2AM RULES!!! ;D Think MarioKart.version.Real.World. !!!SKEEBALL!!! )
I'm just glad I never went ahead and stuck this puppy to my car window like I'd meant to do, cause if I had? This little Badboy would have been gone forever to the junkyard two years ago
All this Asian talk is making me hungry! And now where DID I put my Weezer lunchbox anyway? ??? ;D
