Juan in a million is always good. I always like El chilito off manor also. I am staying in north Austin so it's doubtful I will meet up for brunch but will keep it in mind at the moment. I usually wake up late and haul ass to the festival. As of now I am hitting up the Deamau5 aftershow and hopefully sleigh bells Saturday night (rsvp based on capacity)
ACL shows I plan to catch.
Phish M.I.A. Monsters of Folk Silversun Pickups The flaming Lips The Very Best -a huge undercard of positive energy Miike Snow Portugal The Man The National
Juan in a Million was on Man v. Food. If Adam Richman approves, then I am so there. I'll see if I can locate it in relation to the shuttle stop.
Bands I plan on seeing:
The Soft Pack Miike Snow The Black Keys Beach House Spoon Sonic Youth The Strokes Pete Yorn Two Door Cinema Club Gaslight Anthem Black Lips Broken Bells Local Natives Temper Trap Monsters of Folk LCD Soundsystem Deadmau5 Muse Shearwater White Rabbits Foals Devendra Banhart Portugal. The Man Constellations (woot woot ATL band!) Yeasayer Midlake Edward Sharpe Band of Horses The National
...I know that's a lot. But Im gonna do my best. shows i will NOT miss are Broken Bells, Foals, Temper Trap and Deadmau5.

Torchy's Tacos are great. They'll have a stand in the Austin Eats food court this year. If you're on S Congress try some Homeslice Pizza. You won't be disappointed.
If anybody has a ticket or tickets they want to sell/barter/donate/trade keep me in mind. Until then I'll be scouring Craigslist.
I happen to have a couple of extra 3 day passes for ACL that I'll be getting rid of - if you (or anyone else) are still interested, let me know. We could find a place to swap in Austin. Can't believe it's only two days away. I can't wait.
I'm down with ANYTHING that gets Adam Richman's seal of approval! Juan in a Million it is! I'd like to catch JJ Grey & Mofro @ noon on Friday, but no biggie if not. Brunching with Inforoosters takes precedence!
Other shows on my schedule:
Donavon Frankenreiter Miike Snow Angus & Julia Stone The Black Keys Vampire Weekend Grace Potter Pete Yorn Mayer Hawthorne Broken Bells Silversun Pickups Temper Trap The XX David Bazan Ozomatli Deadmau5 MUSE!!! Shearwater (damn fine Austin band!) Yeasayer Edward Sharpe Band of Horses FLips Richard Thompson THE NATIONAL!!!
Quack the scheduling conflicts: I will slam Red Bull & sprout wings to fly between stages, damnit!

Definitely a fun weekend. I spent a good chunk of Friday with a group and did a whole bunch of stuff on my own Saturday and sunday.
Favorite shows of the weekend. Monsters of Folk - it had sound bleed from LCD, but was irrelevent up close. They played an hour 45 and included At dawn, Golden and Smoking From shooting in the mix. I got my MMJ fix for the year at least. It was a great set.
Phish - Phun times were had
MIA - My only complaint was that she spent tons of time up close in the crowd, but no one could see where she was. Not as much fun as her bonnaroo tent set, but still good. Only 45 minutes or so.
Flaming Lips - standard thoroughfare. Not as much confetti as usual.
Deadmau5 - The after show was ridiculous, no crazy stage setup or led mouse head needed or used, just mixing the place apart. Way better than the 10 minutes I saw of his ACL set. His mixing is way better with the mask off also. He also had technical issues at the aftershow, but still played over 2 hours.
Sleigh Bells aftershow at Beauty Bar - So retardedly packed, having a backpack in there sucked. They also had to replace and hook up a new soundboard before the show. That took almost an hour. sleigh Bells was fun even with sound issues.
Portugal. The Man - They proved they can hold down the main stage as well as playing in a tiny club. good stuff.
Nortec Collective - caught a little of their set. They had 2 djs using Ipads and three other people playing instruments. Very Mexican and cool.
Silversun Pickups - my friends were all like BrokenBells! and I went and wasn't very impressed. I left and caught the end of silversun and they rocked as i expected them to. Would have liked to have seen te whole set.
Miike Snow - Good show, but still best at a club if you have the chance.
No complaints on Vampire Weekend, The XX, Black Keys or the National, good also. Whoever replaced Gayngs was fun also.
Thats my summation for now at least. I will be posting pictures and videos later.
favorite two sets of the weekend: lcd & the national.
of course as mentioned, lcd played dance yourself clean and i was ecstatic over that. was able to get so close and everyone around me was dancing like crazy by the end.
the national blew me away. i can't remember off the top of my head who was conflicting with them at bonnaroo, but i wasn't able to catch their set and i could not have been more impressed. the only way to say it, is that they are seriously awesome.
other sets seen (and all enjoyed): miike snow, black keys, beach house (great!), spoon, vampire wknd, strokes, local natives, temper trap, matt & kim, MIA, blind pilot, morning benders, yeasayer, edward sharpe, flaming lips.
only downside to the wknd was my dumbbutt computer erasing all my pictures from sunday. BOOOO.
all in all a most excellent time. the best weather at any of the 6 ACLs and 3 bonnaroos i've been to. i was able to spend some quality time with some great friends who live in far away places. couldn't ask for more.
Only went Sunday. The National were quacking fantastic. The About Today encore was a perfect way to end the night, and the timing of the set ending right as the Eagles were playing Hotel California off in the distance couldn't have been more perfect.
Morning Benders, Midlake and The Flaming Lips were alright.

went on friday... had car trouble though and got in around 4:30
so I only saw Black Keys, Beach House, Robert Randolph, Phish
was a beautiful day though. I loved Phish's set. Robert Randolph brought me back to Wakarusa this year. That tent had the most people moving of any set I saw - minus some spunions in the back of the Phish crowd LoL
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
The National conflicted with Richard Thompson, whose set I desperately wanted to catch. Did anybody get any footage of that one? Still, I can't complain about The Nat'l set, esp. their "About Today" encore that had me in tears. Damn, they were amazing as always!
There were so many Inforoosters there that I didnt know about!
My highlights: --Miike Snow with Ezra from VW doing "The kids don't stand a chance" was fantastic. --I danced for a solid hour at the Deadmau5 show - and I managed to scare off the fratastic assholes next to me so I had LOTS of jumping room! suckers... --Some solid dance party action at the actual VW show. --the first set of the weekend, The Soft Pack. It was like I was at a real Joy Division show. --the National - third time I've seen them this year. beautiful and sad and amazing as usual. --Foals!!! been waiting to see them forever! they were great, and did not disappoint.
other highlights? --jalepeno brisket tacos --jalepeno nacho tater tots --CHICKEN CONE --that 5 lb brownie... --gurrito burrito! --CHICKEN CONE --everything from Stubbs. --everything from Salt Lick --kettle corn --did I say Chicken Cone???
