I don't really have the money for the waterfront show here at the moment, every day I nervously check Ticketmaster to see if it is sold out yet... and so far so good...
but I doubt I have much longer to put this off...
...I already lost out on Modest Mouse next week because I waited too long
I'm heading over to the Kansas City date if anyone else happens to be going that way. My anticipation for this show is at Bonnaroo levels. I can hardly freaking wait!
Not sold out yet, just went and got my tickets! ;D
Anyone else going to the Williamsburg Waterfront show?
i really wanna go to this show, but ive been debating it cause of travel situations, is it hard to get to/easy to get out of? and hows parking?
Aside from regular NYC traffic, of course , it's actually super simple to get in and out of the area. You just take the BQE to Metropolitan Ave and it's less than a mile from there.
But if you get here during rush hour (right before the show), you will probably find the major roads to be a little "problematic" to say the least I'd try to get here earlier and enjoy the neighborhood.
As far as parking, very few people drive to these shows... you would just have to find a spot in the area on the street. If not right outside the park, just drive around the side streets a few blocks away and you'll find something. The area is mostly residential. I live here with a car, and I rarely have trouble finding a space, (the exception being at unusual hours late at night.)
And by the time the show is over, the major roads will be empty and getting out will be a breeze.
2 weeks till the Nashville show! Any of you Nashville folks have any suggestions on how to blow 5 to 6 hours downtown around the Ryman on a Friday nite? My friend and I are getting there early and are looking for some fun things to see and do. May want to get a few drinks before the show also.

Go to the Frist and see the Chihuly exhibit. I haven't been yet but it is supposedly pretty awesome.
Are we meeting up anywhere beforehand? Obviously, Jess will be at Yazoo... anyone getting dinner?

Chihuly is a wicked awesome pirate! And the exhibit is good too. I havent been to this one but I've been to two before and they were both amazing.
Thanks for the tips! I'll check some of these things out. We will need to grab some dinner somewhere also, so any suggestions on that would be great. If we head to Yazoo I'll keep an eye out for you Jess. I would be down for an inforoo meet up before the show, I think a lot of us have tickets in the same area.

I am down for a pre-Primus meet up. I would also like to do dinner... of course, nothing too pricey. Any other takers?
Yup! My friend is dropping her laptop at my apt after work, and off to the show we go!
It's outdoors in the park, right on the East River, and the weather when the show starts is gonna be about 72, sunny and clear with 42% humidity and no chance of rain.
Seen Les a bunch, but never seen my true love Primus before, and I'm equally excited for Gogol Bordello who always bring it! In fact, if anything I'm a little worried about what a tough act they are to follow
