Loved the show. First time at the Ryman. I loved the building, but honestly ive never been to a venue with so many bad seats. I would guess that only 20% of the lower level could see the whole stage. We moved around from our seats to find places to watch the show where we could see, but I had only heard that there were no bad seats in the Ryman, but that is most definitely false. Awesome building, great show, but be very careful if you get tickets to a show at the Ryman i would guess on 50% of the seats can see the full stage. a lot of bad seats if you get those bad seats you have to be creative.

Not trying to dog the ryman, but i have several times seen people on here say that there are no bad seats at the ryman and that is most definitely false. Ive honestly never been to a venue with more limited viewing seats than the Ryman. unless you are in the first 10-15 rows of the lower level or the balcony you cannot see the full stage (never been in the balcony so i cant judge that) if you are on the lower level.
^^^I guess we in Nashville should qualify our "no bad seats at the Ryman" with "we know how to get the good ones." Once you have lived here a bit and seen shows there, you know where the good seats are and the tricks to get them.
The balcony is great in sections 11-14. On the sides you will have a limited view. And behind the poles downstairs is a b!tch.
But unlike Bridgestone Arena, I don't get a nose bleed when I get to my seat, and have to go to another zip code for a bathroom break.
I think I met Skerik (Dead Kenny G's, Frog Brigade sax dude), like, randomly before the show in Kansas City. I'm saying I did because I prefer totally awesome over possibly awesome.
And it was over a "Rats Off To Ya!" t-shirt. Yeah, my life rules.

you would definitely know if you met skerik.
I was very drunk. My friends were the ones who pointed to him onstage and said "Hey, isn't that that guy...?" It's an amazing story, I know.
met skerik on jam cruise, ran into him at the seattle airport on my way home from sasquatch. he was with his daugher and on his way to austin. really cool dude.
