Since Newport is the weekend of GOTV,I'm gonna miss that as well as the Cville date. I may try and hit up Brooklyn, if I can get everyone to agree on it.

damnit. I didn't even realize that both festivals were the same weekend until now. I was hoping to do a day pass at GOTV and also Sat./Sunday at Newport. Looks like i'm going to try GOTV since I don't want to pass up galactic -> umphreys -> rhythm devils -> primus. plus it's closer
Nashville presale question - are all of the presale tickets at the Ryman in the balcony? I looked and the best it would give me was balcony 11 row B. I would like to wait til the normal sale to get on the main floor, but never been to the Ryman. Is the first couple of rows in the balcony worth it compared to, just say, halfway back on the main floor? I have been to the Grand Old Opry if you could compare. Never seen Primus so I want to make sure I get decent seats.
MikeD, yes, the balcony is worth it, esp. within the first few rows. Once you get back far on the main floor, it can become difficult to see/hear the stage. And you may have to deal with an "obstructed view". Come join the Section 11, Row B party!
EDIT: You think there's a good reason why we're not getting Gogol with Primus???

I got a presale ticket for the Ryman: Section MF3 Row D. Dead effing center! Best seats I've ever gotten for a Ryman show, and I've been to MANY. I bought it about 30 seconds after the email arrived in my inbox though, so I'm assuming there were limited numbers of floor tix in the presale. They haven't played Nashville in a very long time....I'm so ready.
i'm gonna try really hard to get to the show in brooklyn, primus is one of my favorite bands and i have never gotten to see them.. as for the venue, has anyone ever been there? is it easy to get to?
After having a heart attack when I got the presale E-mail, I have bought two (new) shows. I am already going to GOTV in Bridgeport and seeing primus Saturday night. BUT NOW I will be hopping on the train to go to the city Friday night to see Primus, then coming back to vibes to see them again on saturday. AND THEN I will see them at Red Rocks in Colorado. Anyone else gunna make the dash from vibes on friday afternoon to go to the city and then coming back? I got a group of four already and could help any "out of towners" get from vibes to the city and back.
Word on the street is... Les commented during a show after someone yelled 'Primus Sucks', to which he responed "Primus no longer sucks, but radiates forth like shards of broken glass."
