Looking at their tour page the Nashville date is basically the only one totally sold out. I'm hoping this means they add a second night like they were doing during their last outing. The show requires such extensive set up that it almost only makes sense to leave it constructed and double your sales. Sure it's only wishful rationalization at this point but it could still could happen.
Well, looks like U2 is slowing adding to the tour calendar for next summer: Baltimore: June 22 St. Louis: July 17
Jumping around a bit, aren't they? What are the Glastonbury dates for 2011?
Wednesday 22nd - Sunday 26th June 11, I am guessing they will not be making it. I can not imagine the logistics of moving 50-60 trucks from California, to Europe and back in that time period.
notdarkyet, I wouldn't fret just yet. I have my suspicions that there's a reason that U2 is playing Vandy stadium and not LP Field which has a much higher capacity. In other words: I'm not giving up hope that they will be at Roo.
That would certainly work for me as well. I would be worried about a radius clause affecting this but believe U2 would still be a huge enough draw on the farm to overcome that detail.
I'm stubbornly holding my stance that there is no such thing as a radius clause (though everyone here likes to contradict me). Until I hear it straight from Capps himself, I refuse to believe it. Nashville is too big of a music town.
The new dates they have released make their Glastonbury appearance seem less likely which, to me, makes a US festival appearance more likely. They still have the Roo dates open as of now, but that may change as the weeks go on.

I just think it is unlikely that they would drive that whole setup all the way to Tn from California and back. Most of their dates seem to be laid out in a way that geographically makes sense. I bet it would cost an extra 750k-1 million just in the logistics of moving those 70-80 trucks back and forth across the country.
I know they have 3 constructions...2 which they actively alternate use of and then a third as a back up. In any case I'm not sure they'd use the 360 setup for a festival date anyhow. Maybe they already have demonstrated that they still do at another festival appearance in the past year or two but if they were to headline I'd more expect them to appear on the What stage instead of using their own stage construction.
It's not sold out. I just tried for "any price" and got one of the $277 tickets. But I read that they will be releasing more tickets as the date gets closer so maybe they will have some more cheap seats.

That is how I go my tickets for the show in Montreal. When they figure out the exact stage set up they can usually fit more people in and release more GA tickets.
They sold 140,000 tickets for the 2 shows here in less than 2 hours.
The venue's agreement with the CMA Music Festival, which will be held June 9-12, says no other concerts can be held within 30 to 45 days of the festival unless the Country Music Association gives its blessing.

Got a pair(!) in a live charity auction which are in the bridge. They were pitching them like they were expensive front row seats but now I see on the map where they are located I realize they're not truly front row (just front row bridge though I was pretty certain the auction organizers didn't now what they were talking about anyhow.) Anybody have an idea what that will be like? It seems for football games those seats do go for 500-1000 bucks so I imagine it to be like some kind of luxury box set up but not sure how that'd work for a concert. If it is glassed in surely you can open the windows right? Also it seems based on stubhub's listings there are at least 6 rows of seats there which is a different configuration than I would imagine would be found in a box seat set up. Any Tennessee folks been there or know anything about it?
There's a sign in the bathroom here at work (I know, super weird) that someone is selling U2 tickets. Two for $350 or three for $500, section R (not sure of the Row). Want me to get contact info for you?
Now I really regret not buying a ticket to this when I had the chance. It would have been awesome to see U2 on the weekend of the 4th.
Anyone who wants to go will be able to I will probably just show up with 40 bucks. A whole lot of people did not estimate demand correctly, there are tons and tons of tickets on the secondary right now, and the numbers are not changing much. Just look on Friday before if there are still tons on stubhub, then you will be able to ge them for under face at the gate.
