I will say it again: if you ever have the chance to see U2, DO IT. I don't care if you "don't like their recent music" or not. JUST DO IT. This is the second time I have seen them, and the show only gets better and more awesome.
Though it was incredibly hot and crammed, it was still a fantastic show.
PS. notdarkyet, I am SO sorry we missed you. Rotier's was a mad house; we waited outside for abit for you but then headed across the street to eat there.
What an amazing looking show! U2 has been on 'my list' for a while ;D That 360 degree megapixel interactive U2 find myself and friends at the concert thing is freaking awesome!!!
After finally seeing them live, I'm even more confused at the hate they get from a lot of people on this board. They seem to fit right into what we love about Bonnaroo bands. Yes, Bono preaches some but not any more than Michael Franti or Eddie Vedder, both of whom are seen as great Bonnaroo performers. Yes the Claw is a big spectacle but it makes me respect them more. They're a big enough act that they could plunk a plain stage down and still fill football stadiums. Bringing in the Claw has to cut into their profit margin considerably so why knock them for giving the audience more for their money? I'd like it less if they jacked up ticket prices but the cheap seats at Vandy were $35 as opposed to $90 when McCartney came to town. They certainly aren't phoning it in as performers. I don't get it.

What an incredible show!! There are already a couple recordings posted on u2torrents.com. I'm favoring the newer one for sound quality though it's the other one that is also circulating on dime, traders den and other places. Rotiers was completely nuts but the burgers were as tasty as you recommended them to be. I'll try to get up with you all next time I'm down in Nashville. Also awesome pics Druid, keep em coming if you've got any more. Been an insanely packed weekend and can't believe I have to return to my regular grind in 45 minutes. Glad everyone else had as much fun as we did by the sound of it though.
