thats disappointing about crystal castles :[ im surprised that alice has done all the shows she has with her ankle like that. epecially the way she acts on stage lol it would be weird seeing her with a crutch. and im really excited for !!! at roo too. theyre gonna be sick.
I had an amazing time at Ultra. It was my golden birthday weekend as well so I was full of energy the whole time. Oh, but we did lose our only car key, which kept us waiting by our car late at night and early in the morning to get that situation fixed. Unfortunately on Friday the ticket machines went down and they made me tear my ticket. I couldn't pick a favorite show. Seeing Armin and Skrillex twice was EPIC. I heard Skrillex - Cinema at least 7 times throughout the weekend. And nobody was at the STS9 show, but that's probably because Pendulum and Tiesto were outstanding on the mainstage. I was disappointed I couldn't hear Rusko over the bass from the Carl Cox tent, so I saw Deadmau5 instead. The Chemical Brothers put on one heck of a visual show also. I couldn't stand watching Empire of the Sun videos, but their show was awesome! I couldn't care less about the price of food or water, I pretty much only drank water and they let me fill up my mister fan for free each time which was cool. The crowds, imo, were not difficult at all. Except in the Tower of Ultra, I ALWAYS had room to dance even at the most packed shows, and I loved that. I'll be back there next year, if only to go to the free parties and late night shows. They had some amazing shows going on at the local clubs, which I didn't get to go to.
