^Woah...I wasn't at Roo 08, so my opinion isn't worth as much weight on this, but I personally would be pretty excited to see Kanye West at Bonnaroo next year...
Also, Bishop, have you been paying attention to the GOOD Fridays? Output has NOT declined. Pretty much all those songs are excellent, and a lot of them won't even be good enough to make the album, supposedly. There is a very real possibility that his new album will be in the Album of the Year discussions when it gets released. Impossible to tell at this point, obviously, but there's definitely a real chance.

As far as his recorded output, it has certainly gone down since his sophomore. 808s was abig joke and while the new singles have been better, still nothing to write home about. I am not a kanye hater, buthe is nowhere near as well received and revered as at the time of his initial 08 appearance and we all know how well that went over. Who's to say it won't be any different just 3 years later?

Kanye seems sort of apologetic and determined to be less of an asshole now. He admitted to contemplating suicide. I think if you ask him right now he would admit to being in the wrong with the Bonnaroo situation. For the deserved amount of money I think he would come back. His music is just as good as it ever has been, and this is coming from an 808 hater. I seriously doubt anyone that liked College Dropout, Graduation, and Late Registration would say the new songs suck. Of course, there will be people on this board with wrong opinions that say they don't like LP5 contenders, but c'mon you can find someone on here that doesn't like your favorite band.
All that kinda makes me think Ye would be a great headliner/special LN.
I agree with wolf. I think that Kanye is definitely in repent mode, and trying to mend all of the fuckups hes had over the past few years. I think he'd give us one hell of a show if we all gave him the chance and didn't show up throwing rocks immediately. His new singles ARE fucking on, and even though it's fucked up what he did in '08, in the spirit of roo, we could forgive him.
