I'm loving all the changes this year!! Now if that What Stage VIP pit is real - life will be complete!
That would be a dream come true but I sure wouldn't hold my breadth. Did you see a legit What Stage VIP Pit rumor? Link! I'd still like to imagine with you.

I have another question around the VIP at the Which stage. Has this ever filled up for popular concerts? If we stay for all of Jack White then head over to the FLIPs will we still get into the VIP area and if so will it be a crappy spot?
No guarantee. it has filled up for sure. It likely will for the Flips. You can wait in line until people leave the pit and then be admitted but that is often more than halfway through the show. Good luck.
VIP Pit will be a crapshoot but you definitely have the chance of getting in as it clears out part way through. The VIP area will be navigable even when the show is raging. Guaranteed.
Alright question regarding VIP camping entrance. Is it better to come Down 24 West or 24 east for the VIP entrance? I know they close off a ton of exits so you have to uturn miles away. Just trying to figure out what side of the highway im going to get a hotel for on Wednesday night when we get in.

They will give you directions with your VIP passes. They direct VIP's off the interstate early onto 41 so you avoid the back ups. I've never had to wait in line too long. In fact I literally pulled right up to the VIP entrance with no wait in 2014.

Ok awesome. I figured it was something along those lines. I'll figure it out when the passes arrive in May and hopefully it isnt too much of a hassle to get there from my hotel on 16. Thanks!
I'f we're able to talk our daughter & son in law to fly in from CA to join us in VIP, do we get two camping lots if we pick them up in Nashville and come in one vehicle?

Unless things have changed They will not give you a 2nd space without a 2nd vehicle. We tried to do this and ended up in a very long discussion with the VIP Staff head with no results.

Thanks. This will probably keep us from going. The 1600 you pay for a VIP package is supposed to include a camping space.....not a split space with another 1600 VIP package. That makes absolutely no sense. $3200 should = 2 camping spaces.

Agreed, it doesn't make much sense at all. Bonnaroo REALLY needs to address how they handle people car pooling. They encourage car pooling, but then give you the same amount of space regardless how many people you have. They are almost encouraging you NOT to carpool since you'll get more space with more vehicles.

Why don't you have them rent a car so you have two vehicles? Car rentals are not too expensive but you would need to book it way ahead from Nashville airport.

I've done VIP the last 3 years. Each year 4 of us come in one Suburban, and we always get TWO spots. Each VIP package entitles you to a camping spot, regardless of whether or not you have a car.

Thanks for keeping our hope alive....hopefully they answer our email before Wednesday. We have flight vouchers that have to be booked at least 90 days in advance for the kids.

I emailed Bonnaroo directly the first year we went because I had the same concern, I eventually got a response (they confirmed we would get two spots) but it took a while. I assure you two VIP packages equals two campsites, you'll be fine.

For those who were looking for an "offficial" response, this is what I just received from Bonnaroo:
We are really disappointed that they have adopted such an anti-carpooling policy for an event that touts itself as being earth friendly.

I'd email them back with your concerns, stating that it is a deciding factor whether you go or not. See if they budge a little. It really is a stupid policy, especially in VIP. Good luck.

We did write them back....
Benny,
First, we'd like to sincerely thank you for getting back to us in a timely manner. Even though your response mad us sad, you saved us a lot of money.
Having said that, please pass this on to your policy makers.....
You should update your website to reflect this terrible policy. The site clearly states that each VIP package includes a camping & car spot. It doesn't say you have to have the car to get what you paid for.
On one part of your site you advertise potential "FREE VIP upgrades" to those that carpool, but if you actually pay $3,200.00 for 2 VIP packages, you are limited to one camping spot - that are too small for a car, 2 tents and a social area??? That policy doesn't exactly radiate positivity, or common sense.

Does seem illogical. The VIP camping spots are a limited supply of inventory. Bonnaroo sells out that entire supply of inventory, it should be the purchasers choice to do with as they please, whether or not they want to put a car there. It's not like if you don't camp there Bonnaroo will be able to sell that spot to somebody else. Its already sold, done.

I got a completely different response when I emailed them. I would try again and see if you get a different response.
EDIT: Somewhere on Inforoo I posted the exact response I got when I emailed them after my first year in 2012, however I cannot find it (it's not in this thread). With that being said, I am SURE they confirmed we would get two camping spots before we arrived. Again, I think you will be fine, but I suggest emailing again and seeing if you get a different response.
Yeah, and I will just fight with the parking attendants. I have a Traverse, there is no way I can fit much of anything behind my car, let alone two tents and an EZ UP. I bought two spaces, I am getting two spaces.

Kitty, in this case its better to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission. I hate that I'm saying that, but you're spending three grand on a family vacation, you're going to have enough space even if you have to take it
