just got my VIP package in the mail and there is a flyer in there that says "VIP DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL 8AM THURSDAY MORNING--do not come early. you will be turned away!" so...i was under the impression we were allowed in on wednesday??
If you view messages boards this is likely due to the incoming traffic for GA while filling the outer areas. Check out this post very good information!
Ok, another question: are the showers and the toilet/sink areas separate? Or in the same trailer-thing? I'm assuming they are separate, but it's early and I'm doubting myself.

Toilets and showers are in separate trailers, and if the set-up is the same as 2009 (or 2008, they are blending together!) there was a water truck with trough sinks set up near the showers as well.

Yes
Really? ??? They have those in GA... I was thinking it was going to be more like actual sinks, on an enclosed truck. With attendants spraying you and stuff.

I think all the fancy spraying happens in the toilet/sink trucks.

Air-conditioned truck. A long row of actual sinks on each side with mirrors. These are NOT what is in GA. Truck is enclosed with a door. Very cold in the morning. ;D
Hey man, I'm going alone VIP, grabbing the shuttle at the airport, hopefully trading in my GA wristband for my waiting VIP wristband at the airport as they told me but...
My main question is b/c I'm solo and may not haul alot, is there coffee in the a.m. in the VIP? I may not bring a stove, it'll be hard enough to bring a cooler for water (is that all that necessary?) Anyone know if they sell cots or battery operated fans at that camping world vendor. Also, should I definetly respond to the Inforoo VIP blog and hookhup w/ that whole crew? any help would be appreciated, thanks Patrick

Some quick questions:
We just won the VIP's but we are going with a group that is GA and will be in camp only. My question is, will I be able to carry some gear out of VIP and set it up in camp only with our friends?
Also we have one of those big wheel handcarts that our friends are going to use to move up to camp only. Will I be able to go in and out of VIP with this cart if we wanted to move a big cooler or something, or is it by hand only?
My last question at this time is about the "secret entrance". I know all of the back roads around the manchester area and how to avoid traffic, but this was just for us to handtruck our stuff in to camp only with our car's off site. I did not get the VIP information package that came when you ordered VIP tickets because we won them off Jack.FM through a stubhub competition. If I know back routes to get to wal-mart already will I be good, or is there a specific route they want VIP folks to go? If there is a specific route it would be greatly appreciated if someone could PM me the specific route so we do not have any issues.
Fifth roo, first VIP. I am beyond happy that I get to try VIP and if I have any more questions that I cannot find answers to, I will be posting again. Thanks ahead of time.

I could be wrong because I've never gone looking for it, but I'm pretty sure that in the VIP camping area coffee would only be available to those who purchased the meal plan.
I think at least a small cooler for water is pretty necessary, unless you want to drink warm to hot bottled water, and you will need to be drinking a lot of water at your campsite unless you're spending almost all your time in Centeroo.
If you can't find a decent cup of coffee in the morning look for the Cruise Canada RV in VIP and drop by, we'll hook you up!

There was a vendor selling coffee and breakfast stuff in the VIP area. It was all reasonably priced. Think it was about $5 for a coffee and some biscuits + sausage gravy type breakfast. They also had fruit, eggs, and such for sale.

I believe there is a breakfast vendor near the large VIP tent in the camping area. I wasn't there last year, but the vendor was there in '09 and there was (finally) coffee in VIP!
And yes, definitely respond to the Inforoo VIP group! Lots of great folks and many of us have camped with them before. Also, check out the Inforoo brunch thread. There used to be a thread where people volunteered to bring things in for people who were flying in and couldn't bring a lot of gear. That thread was generated by Troo, but I'm not sure if it exists anymore.
Finally, you need a cooler for water and such. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate...it is insanely hot on the farm.

Good to know, thank you! I admit to not venturing very far from my campsite before noon. Might have to take advantage of this now that I know it's there.

Yes, the breakfast vendor had good food and coffee, BUT... (and this was a *major* letdown for me) no half & half in jugs, like you often find even out in GA. Instead, they had the little convenience store-sized 'mini moos' and they limited you to six per purchase.
Look, I'm a java junkie who drinks very creamy coffee, so that was just NOT gonna cut it for me. I got coffee from them on Friday morning, but then went to the coffee place in Centeroo (beside the Solar Stage/across from Broo'ers Tent) and had an amazing latte. Then on Saturday, I left and made a Starbucks run to stock up on canned drinks.
This year, I'm bringing a quart of half & half just in case. If I don't need it for coffee, then it'll taste fantastic in some White Russians!

Not sure if this has been answered somewhere, but will I have any issues bringing wine into Centeroo from VIP. Last year I poured it into water bottles and put them in my purse and got through GA security. I'm hoping it will be easier through VIP.......

I posted this in the general thread due to being more folks on their, and posting it as well on this thread in hopes for an answer because this is kinda getting me excited.
I am doing some research on the bonnaroo website and looking through VIP threads to see what all of the perks are and came across an interesting perk and just want some more clarification. I am going to re-post what Gary Chardonay replied with and the questioner who asked it:
Question: "Is there a difference between the StubHub VIP passes and the regular VIP passes?"
Gary Chardonay: "The difference between StubHub VIP and regular VIP is that with the StubHub VIP package, you will be able to watch a mutually approved artist from the photo pit or side stage accompanied by a Bonnaroo representative!"
My question now is, how do you go about finding out which artists have given approval for VIP Stubhub folks, and who do we ask to allow us to go on to the side stage when we are at the actual stage (I dont want to cause a rucous and be kicked out of somewhere I am not suppose to be and all)?

As someone who almost never tries to sneak anything in, I've been searched a few times (thankfully I didn't have anything) and had an aborted search the ONE time we tried to sneak in four beers (thanks for the distraction, RedVelvet!). I think if you hide it well, you'll probably be alright.

I wish I'd known that. I had a bottle of the Irish Cream flavored stuff in my cooler. I'll definitely have some with me this year, as well as my french press.
