I'm at the Royal Palm... 0.9 miles to the east of I-59. It's the last building before hitting the state park. I'm hoping that means a less crowded beach.
Day passes were sold last year, but it was the first year and the oil spill kept people away. The founder has said that if it sells out (which he expects to happen within weeks), then they will not offer day passes. You want to go all three days anyway. Sell something!

Since I waited till the last minute it looks like we're staying in Orange Beach and driving over. For anybody that did that last year, is parking even possible?
Does anybody know if Hangout emails folks who were declined for press passes or if all approvals have been emailed? If we get declined, I will need to get tix pronto. We already have the condo booked :/ ..... Getting nervous now. It's D-Day today...

I think the wife and I are just going to relax on Thursday night. I have a buddy who grew up down there that will show us where the good food is (possibly at his mom's place). There are some good bands, but we need to get SOME relaxation in while we're down there.
Same here, Jess. I'll probably head out bright 'n early Friday a.m. - and since I didn't know I was going until last week, the closest hotel I could find is in Foley. But hey, a 14-mi drive gives me time to crank tunes & get super-stoked for the day's events!
I know Dale is gonna be there but won't know his Volunteer schedule til he gets there. Wanna play it safe & plan for a Friday early afternoon meetup? Maybe a "surf-side brunch" kinda thing?
I'm going to see the Flaming Lips play "The Soft Bulletin" in Atlanta Thursday, then heading down Friday. Hope I'm not too worn out to really enjoy making fun of Widespread Panic.

definitely will not be checking out WSP and that would be a great idea. they dont have anyone else play during the headliners right?
