can't say you didn't see it comin... the name and the insomniac events listed as the Facebook Page's Likes... Personally, I'd like it and Sherwood Forest/the venue altogether, but... it's still pricey and far.
If anyone finds contests to enter for free tickets in the coming months, please share!

hmmm im pretty unimpressed with the lineup and thats disappointing. bassnectar and pretty lights are getting billed high and are playing just about every festival, talk about over saturation. the new deal, karl denson and bonobo are the only things that really jump out as points of interest for me.
that lineup for $200 is okay but when it gets to the price of a bonnaroo ticket and you are honestly putting these two lineups side by side you must be into nothing but crunch-tronica to pick EFF

What is this, a county fair? All they need is Vanilla Ice and Grand Funk Railroad to round it out. That Sherwood forest better be full of free shrooms for the ticket price.

the funny part is wasnt the whole idea behind not having the fest in 2010 that they didnt want to hold a festival in which the lineup wasnt adequate? i cant imagine it would have been much worse than this last year and at least then it would be going on 3 consecutive years.
i think the only thing that will save this from being Langerado'd is the forest, and with the name it seems like theyre banking on that

The reason Rothbury didn't happen the last two years is because Reo Speedwagon was booked solid at carnivals/family re-unions. Maybe there'll be a CheeseWagon superjam!! One can only hope. Rumor has it Styx will be closing this mother down!
Thievery Corporation, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, The Pogues, Broken Social Scene, Cafe Tacuba, Umph, Bisco, Cold War Kids, Steel Pulse, Public Enemy, Bad Brains, Ozomatli, George Clinton, Tortoise, Devotchka, Grupo Fantasma, Holy F*ck, Budos Band, Lotus, King Khan & The Shrines, Murs, K'naan, etc.
It's really no contest, actually.

Yeah at lease lolarado tried for a decent lineup. I mean Cheese is not a terrible band, but 3 nights? Not to mention after that name you go to the other big names of ESATMZ (Who I like) and Reo Speedwagon. For 89 dollars this would be fun, but it feels like they are just trying to capitilize on the Rothbury name at this point.

Yea I don't see how it's even close. I'd even take Death Cab over any band playing this fest and I hate Ben Gibbard.
Plenty of redeeming factors with Langerado '09, but the bad was just really bad, IMO. About half of the stuff that was quoted as backing up a solid lineup, I couldn't care less about. The lineups really don't resemble each other at all, though, so I think it was kind of a bad comparison to begin with. As someone who went to Langerado in '07 and '08, I was just really disappointed.
Death Cab For Cutie • Snoop Dogg • Slightly Stoopid • Matisyahu • Michael Franti & Spearhead • Pepper • Gym Class Heroes

Oh yea, both suck, but I think the bottom of the Langerado festival is leagues better than Electric Forests.
Looking at this lineup...does every ticket purchase come with a complimentary tank of nitrous and a hit of crystal meth? It's like these idiots went to Camp Bisco, said "hey, this is great and all, but we need more oontz oontz crap bands that will attract burned-out heavy dr*g users with a penchant for ignorance and violence! TO THE FOREST."
You forgot the three nights of SCI so that they can leave with fairy wings on, faces covered in glitter, and some lingering questions about their sexuality.
The initial lineup was posted on December 9, 2008.[3]
