Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
she plays like an average of 2 u.s. shows per year. if ellen allien comes to bonnaroo, i'll run thru the campgrounds naked holding up my vinyl copy of 'berlinette'.
Not AS big, but all 3 of those are moderately big. Why do we need a BIG name? just give us quality
People want big names because big names tend to be good and people are familiar with their style. There will always be new DJs to go to for new sounds, but having someone big and relevant is always fun.
But the "Big" Djs usually aren't relevant... like tiesto and esp oakenfold.. come on
I remember fri 09 oakenfold was billed so high but was the least crowded tent when up against girl talk and pretty lights
Duck Sauce is a very likely possibility, as is Wolfgang... Fatboy Slim would be really fun also if that were at all possible.
Unfortunately, I see Skrillex being a good possibility too since he'll just be coming from Wakarusa (ya, ya, I'll agree his prod. is ok). I'd also like to see Empire of the Sun, but I have a feeling they would have been released with the initial lineup.
Im okay with the girl talk re-pete just cause i love his shows, and bassnectar will actually be a different show from last year. On wildstyle he's playing around with a much different sound that im really interested and excited to see.
Also, major lazer MAY be too big, but i can definatly see diplo on the lunar stage. Im not too concerned about who's gonna be there. After seeing the rest of the festival lineups Im convinced bonnaroo will get a few real awesome sets on the lunar stage
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Everyone ive talked to love mstrkrft in 08, it was probably my favorite set of that weekend. There's nothing wrong with repeats, especially when you have an stage devoted to electronic music, you can still get plenty of fresh faces.

ya, mstrkrft can't be playing roo because the reunited DFA1979 will be too busy destroying their thursday night set (this is still happening in my head).
big names arent always great. Paul Oakenfold was horrible. i think the world has evolved past break beats.
No way man it was a great show. I'm not the biggest fan of his either but he had a great relationship with the audience. He was literally dragged off the stage after the sun came up.

what's going to happen is DFA plays a thursday night set, then JFK heads over to the Lunar stage right after. Greatest Thursday night ever.
You know who would be a great blast from the past on the Lunar Stage? Fatboy Slim. Bring him and I'll be there at Lunar. - Also a big advocate for DJ Shadow - Return of Lotus. Cuz DAMN that show was awesome. - Aphex Twin. For the lucidity of Bonnaroo. - Juno Reactor. Love these guys. Ever since they made Bible of Dreams, I've been hooked.
Yeah I'm excited about this! Heard them on my Pandora account and their sound is unique and entrancing. I dig their blend of Middle Eastern music with electronic. Add in their sexy bellydancer singer, and that show has win all over it.

I'm old but I was at tiesto AND oakenfold because they were both on my "list" of "must sees" in my lifetimie and I finally got to see them and I was not disappointed in either show. For me it was a star struck type of thing to finally get to see them after years and years of listening to them.
They are both pioneers of electronic music that have set the groundwork for others. I know people will argue with me and disagree with me and I don't care and I won't engage in an argument about it. It's my opinion and lots of others feel the same way.
I still think we will see a "big" add just given Bonnaroo's past lineups

I'm going to tackle this a different way. The people they laid the groundwork for are not good. Also they're not good.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

MSTRKRFT would be welcomed back by me. 08 was awhile ago and a lot of people (me) missed them as they were up against MMJ. i also missed probably the best biscuits concert i would have had the opportunity to see but i wasnt THAT into them then. sigh...
what excites me about this electronica lineup is that it frees up late night conflicts

I would definitely see mstrkrft again, their set in 08 was life changing! Saw them again at a club in Miami the following year and was dissapointed, but it could have just been the atmosphere.

We edm fans are an interesting bunch. I understand that a lot of folks don´t enjoy the old school Tiesto/Oakenfold/Fatboy Slim music anymore, people have their tastes, but these European DJs are like the Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Pink Floyd of a relatively new form of music. It shouldn´t be surprising that a lot of folks want to see these people on the farm. And as for Tiesto I still think he´s relavent. He has the biggest electronica radioshow in the world and sells out arenas on every liveable continent, and you can hear his stuff in so many new European and South American DJs. And I think his sound has evolved. It´s not atonal blips and blurps (which I can get into), but it´s still been evolving and inspiring.
Anywho, I love it all, I´ve just always been curious about the anti-legends feel that has always been pretty unique to electronic/dance music. With jam music, the older and more irrelevant the better!
