Found a room at the Days Inn Airport Nashville East for $69. Based on reviews it has an 8.5 rating. That rate is for two double beds. I have had good luck with days inn and if not it is only for one day to rest up before getting no sleep for the next 4 days or so. Anyone find anything better? I found rooms for around 45 as well but had 2.0 ratings and such.
Yea I think its fair. I mean You can get one for 40ish if you want to risk a dirtbag place. I would rather pay a bit more and have a bit of confidence that it wont be to bad and get a decent night sleep. Plus if you you split it with someone it is that much cheaper.
Sorry I fell asleep last night after my post. You might be able to find it cheaper if you search 100 different hotel sites but you can go right to the days inn site and get it for 69
i thought i read this b4 but isnt someone on here from wicker park in chicago??
I live downtown, but I do think I saw someone else mention Wicker. Right now its just my buddy and I driving down. I dont think we'd mind meeting up with some fun people. Is this your first year going VIP?
yea...3rd roo...1st vip...where u at in the city...im off division and ashland
I will be reserving my room at the Days Inn Airport Nashville East by days end. I will be getting two double beds if anyone in the cavavan wants to split the room let me know. Preference will go to cute girls in which case I can get a king bed and we can snuggle I mean who doesn't like to snuggle
i'm out of town for sping break but will be doing this when i get back. i will already have 3 people in my room. lol. but you're right, snuggling is always good hahahaha. let that NWI girl know too. she might be interested in staying, and spencio too.
I got a room in nashvlle for around 70 and am looking to split it with someone so only 35. Worth it to have one last night of sleep in a bed before not sleeping for days
How much were rooms? I havent decided if i am going to stay in a hotel or not..what time do you guys plan on leaving nashville to head to manchester?
For the past two years we have left Nashville between 5-6am. It about an hour drive to the line. We typically stop about 30 minutes or so of the drive and fill the gas tanks up. We then get directed into the Bushy Branch Road entrance and in 2009 spent 6 hours in line in 2010 8 hours in line. Both years we ended up in the Rusty Griswold area. I love it out there, I dont think I would want to be any closer to be honest.
Also, although sitting in line sucks, I think it is definitely part of the experience. Sitting in line, making friends with the cars around you, building the anticipation... It's all part of the experience.

Hey all! Coming from Bloomington-Normal, about two hours south of Chicago. First roo for all four of us, and we have room for more! We're probably taking 74 and 1 down, but maybe we can meet up other IL'ers in Nashville?
I like taking 57 -- some of the scenery between effingham and carbondale is actually pretty nice -- plus we usually stock up on beer at one of the super cheap college liquor stores in carbondale -- keeps it a little colder than driving down with it from urbana
