Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
For downtown BBQ, Jack's is your best bet. There are some good BBQ places in Nashville but few downtown. If you want to venture out of the downtown area, let me know and I'll recommend some.
Ya'll don't forget to make time for our Wednesday Night Inforooster meetup!
Did anyone see that they are now opening the gates at 7pm on Weds? I am not sure what to think about that seeing how I already reserved my room. How does everyone else that booked a room feel about that?
no change in plans for this car! hoping this means more people will go in wednesday (they usually end up opening wed night but don't announce it) so the lines won't be as bad thursday and maybe we can get better camping spots!!!!

I'm in Chicago/Logan Square. This is my 2nd roo and my friend last year couldn't hang, so as of now I'm going alone. Just a reg ticket and I have Wed-Mon off. Was thinking about renting a car... figured I'd check here to see if anyone close by wanted to split a rental or had an extra spot..
Any recommendations as far as a meeting place goes? I know we are still 43 days away but I was just wondering and also people can start planning on what time to leave and such. As I said before I wouldn't mind getting into town for dinner time 7-8ish grab some BBQ and have some drinks and hang out. We can always eat and head to another place for drinks or stay where we are.
Thoughts?
I checked out Jack's and it looks pretty good but of course I am not opposed to checking out other places if anyone else has a preference.
i am interested in starting to talk about leaving times. so we have about 1 1/2 hour drive to valpo to meet up with you guys (and likely one of our carmates), then we have to pick somewhere on 65 south of indy to meet up with my indy folks, then we are free from there. they are an hour ahead of us right? it is around 8 hours from valpo to nashville? it's been a while since i've done that trip.
It is closer to 7 hours to Nashville from Valpo and 8 hours to Manchester and yes Indy/Nashville/Manchester is an hour ahead of us. I am up for leaving as early as needed so we can have some fun in Nashville and hangout a bit. I will be bringing the NWI girl with me in my car so I just need to know when the two of us need to meet up so we can set a meeting place and take off and waste as little time as possible.
It is about 2-2.5 hours to Indy from Valpo, in case you need to build that into planning a time to leave. I guess the leaving time really depends on the person the furthest out since that is the starting point for the caravan. I guess it also depends on the meeting time in Nashville as well.
Hey guys, we haven't decided on a meeting place yet. Last year we met around 7:00pm; people came and went throughout the evening. We chose a bar last year that had a patio, Three Crow Bar in East Nashville. It's only about 5 minutes from downtown, on the other side of the river. That would personally be my choice again this year... but we'll see what the masses have to say

I'm getting really anxious now that we're starting to plan out the trip. Is it just the one car coming from chicago to Valpo? or are we caravaning the sh!t outta the midwest?!
as of right now it's one. i'm still trying to contact spencio, he was originally going to join us but i haven't heard from him in a while. it looks like everyone else is bailing so there will be 2 cars from valpo to indy then we pick up a 3rd.
Hey, we should establish some sort of marker to I'D cars heading to bonnaroo from IL. If you see one at a gas station or something or see one broken down on the side of the road we can identify our bonnaroo bretheren and introduce ourselves or help out. I suggest maybe putting something of a specific color in your back windshield (blue probably). That way Anyone coming from Illinois can spot another rooer on the road. Let me know if this is a good idea. I'm gonna do it anyway
this may be a stretch, I'm looking for someone with 3 spots available in their car going to the roo from chicago. we'll chip in for gas, of course! anyone got some extra room and wanna help some fellow roo-goers out?
@ laneyloops: My friend and I are driving from northwest burbs of Chicago-- it depends on whether or not I can borrow my mom's van or not. If we take my car, we won't be able to fit everything, but if not, we can bring you!
