Soooo I found out PT stands for Phantasy Tour... someone could have said that... I've heard the site mentioned before, but I've never been to it. So I still don't completely get what you guys are saying.
I once was on a date with a gal, told her I liked DMB.
I had to tell her about three times not to worry because I wasn't a bro, and the bros piss me off too. It's unfortunate the d'bag fanbase has to wreck things.

Wow! Flaming Lips doing DSOTM again? I thought that would be more rare.
Hahahaha. You're cute. The Flaming Lips have not made a career out of doing things that are "rare." They perform pretty much the same stage show night in and night out, and none of the things that seem spontaneous/unique actually are.
With Flaming Lips performances turning into huge shitshows in the last 5-6 years or so mainly because everyone found about the crazy antics, they're almost as much of a brah magnet as DMB is, unfortunately. They'll fit right in.
Right, I understand their main shows are like that.....but haven't they only played DSOTM twice now? At Roo and at NYE in their hometown? I thought that would be more of a special occasion type thing but I guess they consider this a special occasion.
It's amazing how so many people hate on Dave fans! But being a huge Dave fan (in fact, I credit his shows for teaching me to love live music!!!) I can say that stereotypes are created based on some fact... sadly. Anyway, as someone mentioned earlier, Dave has a huge following up here (I live in the Hartford, CT area), and he plays at least 2 sold out shows here every year. Last year, I went to his 2 Hartford shows, Wells Fargo in Philly and MSG in NYC. There is certainly the fan base to sellout both North East festivals!! I am only a few days away from buying my DMB Caravan tickets for AC, but considering the proximity to Roo.. I would much prefer to do a later festival!! Any new info on the possible NYC (Governors Island?) show??!?!
I drive 20 hours to Roo, so I don't get home until late Monday night if I leave Sunday night. Tuesday is my birthday and then Thursday night/ Friday morning, I need to head off to DMB Caravan? I think that I might die! (Add working two jobs into the middle as well)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I have heard Gorge as well.
ive heard permits have been applied for... waiting out some confirmation on those
I'm not a huge DMB fan by anymeans. I respect him for what he does but it's not my thing. He will always have a special place in my heart though because if he didn't play I would have never gone to my first Bonnaroo.
That said these line ups are killer. The fact that The Jayhawks are playing Chicago makes me wanna go. IF they were to play the farm with half of these two line ups, I may make my second trip there, this year.

He was also the reason I made my first trek to the farm and had my music epiphany during his set at Roo. Since then Ive seen him 17 more times.
I would love to make it to Chicago but its pretty close to Roo. I think if the August show is somewhere south or not far west Ill be hitting it up. Did the Gorge last year would like to check somewhere else out. Think Red Rocks is the other possibility?
