You're really happy with the outcome because you are trying to sabotage his trip because youre jealous? This guy told me that he was banned from this forum (I happen to be going on the bus and I did find him on Facebook) I think it's a pretty great idea and I got nervous as to him being banned but appreciated his honesty... He laughed it off and thinks it's pretty funny when we spoke about it but I was still worried so I came on here to see for myself...... Now I see why he laughed it off you people are pretty lame! Why are you ganging up on this guy? Whenever I've dealt with him he's been forthcoming and a straight shooter.
As much as I think you are the OP, I agree with you. By the second page, people were ready to run this guy out of Inforoo.

I work at festivals, I gave the small amount of advice a long time ago. I don't have much experience entering Bonnaroo, since I arrive the day before we let people in.
I think he got real defensive because he wasn't prepared. And later on some of the things he said regarding the trip turned out to be flat out lies.
One major point. He claimed to be in contact with people about where the bus will drop people off. That was proved to be false.
I don't think this thread should be locked. I think it has a lot of useful information in it for someone that is considering taking the bus. I would hope someone would do their homework before handing some random person 200 dollars.
I think that's why he got so mad. Because this discussion was forcing people to think twice about signing up for his bus trip instead praising him and following him blindly.

aruabear - you realize that in this thread YOU were the first person to point out how this trip didn't seem organized, right? Before you posted, there was no problems/negative comments about the trip....mostly just logistical questions and suggestions from Jess, myself, and others.
Then, the real questions started coming up when Juggs and Karen began poking holes in some of the ideas.
The first comments from Karen were about how this was a good idea but a bit disorganized. She suggested that getting all the logistics figured out BEFORE taking people's money would have been a better plan. Juggs pointed out that there are some flights that are in a similar price range and you wouldn't need to sit on a bus for 16 hours.
Then there was some really respectful and open conversation about some pros and cons with this idea between Jess, Juggs, and Karen (the posts from March 22nd around 11 a.m.).
After responding to some questions, jniamehr made a post to Karen. Her post was basically saying it's fine that you just decided to go recently, but when organizing a trip like this it would be better to have the answers to most of these basic questions. Then, for some reason he began talking about his accomplishments in other areas of business which don't really have much to do with what was being discussed.
Juggs called him out on that (maybe a bit harshly.....but that's Juggs) and things erupted from there.
The "whole board" wasn't attacking him/going after him. A handful of posters were asking questions or pointing out some weakly-planned sections of this trip and that should be expected when doing something like this.
Also, Karen was NOTHING but helpful and continually pointed out how this is a good idea and other ways things could have been done.....as well as offering tons of advice. There was absolutely no need to bring her parenting into question and criticize her for things that he knew nothing about.
Just going through the first few pages of this thread again really showed how helpful and constructive you were trying to be. I think that the OP was getting annoyed with the back-and-forth with Juggs so he lashed out at you (who was trying to help him) because he thought you were being negative or something like that.
Either way.....the point is that while a few posters would stop by this thread and say things like "yea this trip doesn't look good" or offer their quick opinions.....the majority of the responses were about making sure the trip had everything figured out.
I hope I can save enough money to make it down there this year and hopefully make it over to the brunch to meet some of the people that have been extra awesome this year.

I really wish this kid would have had this idea a long time ago and made good decisions. I would have loved to see this work and turn into something that could be done with other cities.

Nobody cares if you used mommy and daddy's money to start some douchey bullshit co-op in Brooklyn for all the wealthy hipsters to shop at so they can feel good about "giving back to the community." Slapping together an online directory for laundromats does not qualify you to make unresearched decisions regarding a cross-country trip wherein you are assuming the responsibility of the safety and well-being of the other passengers, especially when you're being disingenuous about it and actively targeting those who haven't been to Bonnaroo before, or who are young and more naive.

For the record I dont think I went to a liberal arts college... Not that I ever paid attention to those kind of details - I am a two time college drop out (who loves to learn mind you)... I went to a city college paid like 5k a semester because Im not a spoiled brat like you try and make me out to be, nor did I have the funds or desire to pay for a 40k school. For the record I dropped out for business and once to go work in Beijing for a year and I am currently reenrolled in classes. I am doing a double major in economics and computer science in case you care to know.
Mommy and Daddy didnt give me ANYTHING (My Daddy actually unfortunately declared bankruptcy two years ago) besides loving and a great family. Nor is it a co-op and if it was a co-op wouldnt that mean the community co-invested?

Yeah, nobody was jealous. All he did was spam the board with his bus adverts, and when people started pointing out how poorly planned the trip was, and how it seemed to be way more expensive than it should be, and how it seems as though he's been lying about trying to contact Bonnaroo/AC/Superfly, he got all huffy about it. It started out as people trying to give him helpful advice, he got his back up, which caused people to start to question him more. He had no real plan aside from "here's a bus!" He had no idea where the bus would drop people off, when it would be able to return, how far people might have to walk with their gear, etc. If it was just him, or a group of his friends, fine. But he was actively looking to sell tickets to complete strangers who were putting their trust in his hands to get them there smoothly/easily/safely, and he really hadn't thought anything through. Any time he was questioned, he started rattling off his completely unrelated qualifications and accolades, which just came off like bragging. To top it off, one of the members (the one you responded to above) questioned him in a fairly gentle manner, and he responded by calling into question her parenting skills and insulting her. Doesn't seem like a really solid guy to me.
Again you have no idea what you are talking about - I apologized to Karen for insulting her parenting skills when I didn't truly know if she is an awful parent or not and I actually feel bad about that. On the other hand she was quite rude and offensive and was saying the plan was poorly planned when she doesnt know the plan nor does she have an interest in coming on the bus, and the same goes for you except you are just a prick plain and simple. Also I am in talks with superfly, and you have no idea what you are talking about....

I wouldnt know how to do it? LOL when I was 13 I had the FBI at my door and my friends door and we were questioned for 4 hours about how we found vulns on some sites we broke into for fun... Again you dont know me lol... Not to mention it would probably be more difficult because they use proboards but message boards are notoriously easy to use sql injection vulns with... not that I would even look into it or take it that far because of what happened 11 years ago which scared the shiitteeee out of me. Also I never said I would DDos inforoo because that would be to easy I meant people specifically but those days are wayyy over I wouldnt ever do that. You do realize that I have an office full of developers, one original contributor to PHP, and one original contributor to Erlang.

He said he was going to shut down inforoo, however then used the vocabulary of a 12 year old combined with the technical know how of a small monkey to explain how he would do it.
