Got my ticket & car camping pass for weekend 1 as well!
Tent only camping for weekend 1 is already sold out.
Noticed that... That leaves me with weekend 2 (unless I wanna dish out extra $$$ to rent a car) But I have a feeling I won't be doing coachella this year...
you pay to camp at Coachella by the car load so you only need one car camping pass for each car. Spilt $85 by 4 people and its not bad at all. My group has 12 car camping passes right now because almost everyone that could afford threw one on their order. Better to have too many then not enough so Im sure well have extra in the end if you guys are worried bout the camping pass alone.
Yea we camped in 2010 with 10 people (plus all the random people that would stop by), a MASSIVE Screen house, 4 tents and all our junk in 3 spots and still had plenty of space.
After all of my bitching, it took the heat of Wakarusa to remind me how amazing the Polo Fields are. Tickets purchased to the first weekend. I'll see you beautiful people there!
I'd definitely be down for this lineup. This is such a cool festival that it doesn't matter who's playing. Already got my week 1 ticket and car camping.
cat power! ahhhh if chan were actually playing that might seal it for me. i dont care if her shows have gone downhill sober haha i've never seen her so i've been dying for a chance.
If Coachella's lineup next year looked like that I'd be pretty jealous. Won't happen however.
There is plenty to be jealous of on face value alone:Not insufflating 2 pound of dust, beautiful grass/ barefoot walking, no humidity, premiere electronic music, and wook free.

15 minute sets, not much extracurricular "fun", fest ends at 11:30. Not like it is some kind of paradise.

Yes, 15 minute sets and music doesn't go till 2am, you're right.

It's funny how both message boards trash the other festival in their own way. For the Coachella board Bonnaroo is filled with dirty hippies, the venue is not just ugly but completely atrocious and terrible, and everything sounds like shit. While for the Bonnaroo board Coachella is infested with hipsters, everyone plays two minute sets, and nobody is nice.
I just don't understand why people compare the two? I have no desire to go to Coachella, but I'm smart enough to know that it's a different ballpark than Bonnaroo. And I'm sure as hell smart enough not to go to the Coachella boards and tell people how Bonnaroo is so much better. (This goes for any festival and/or board actually).
No, I loved bonnaroo this year. I was simply pointing what I love about Coachella. I will certainly contend, the "vibes" or atmosphere of Roo is slightly better. I would say that's more due to a southern culture of hospitality and it's roots in the jam scene vs California and Coachella's roots, than anything to do with the fad of hipsters.
