My Morning Jacket- Missed them in '08 for the Superjam. Wasn't about to make the mistake again. Buffalo Springfield- The 1-2 punch of "For What It's Worth" and "Rockin' in the Free World". Mumford and Sons- I'd actually not even planned to see these guys but didn't feel up to walking to Bootsy. What a show. Robert Plant and the Band of Joy- Buddy Miller is a monster on guitar. Beats Antique- These guys came out of nowhere and blew me away.
I still want to know why Bootsy was late. Seriously. Someone can PM me, I don't care, I just want to know.
Well, Devotchka's set was running a half hour late (I heard from someone that Gogol Bordello jumped on stage and played a half hour set). That put Devotchka ending at 7pm, the time that Bootsy was scheduled to take the stage.
Also, since there's 13 members in the band, and every single microphone and keyboard and guitar needed a sound check (which means 3 basses, 2 guitars, 2 keyboards, 3 horns [the trombone and sax in particular were having trouble], the drums and drum mics, along with about 10 vocal mics - that's about 20 different instruments that needed to be mixed) and the soundcheck took about an hour and a half.
As much as I'm glad that I could see Bootsy and Dr. John, Roo's original schedule had the right idea putting Bootsy late night simply to allow for the proper amount of set up time.
The tech team did hussle, but they still did a rushed job mixing the stage and I could barely hear the lead guitar, the background vocals, and bootsy's vocals and I was front and center!

This is hard to do since there is no one that caught more than 5 or 6 acts a day, unless you're superhuman. So here's my top 5: 1. Grace Potter & The Nocturnals (I have a fantasy bout her - don't ask) 2. Reverend Peyton & His Big Damn Band (incredible guitar work !) 3. Bruce Hornsby (Who was that drummer !!!!!) 4. Dr. John & The Original Meters (Very special performance) 5. Widespread Panic (Tight band, light show, celebratory environment)
Can't wait to put together my new list for next year.

I have been to Bonnaroo for four years now (07, 08, 10, 11) and have been using Inforoo during that entire time to get tips on the best way to set up camp, check the rumor mill, etc. Decided to join after this years Roo so this is my first post as a member. Have to say this was one of my favorite Roos since I didn't have any particular bands I loved going into it...
1. Arcade Fire/MMJ 2. Scissor Sisters 3. Girl Talk 4. Childish Gambino 5. Matt & Kim

1. Gogol Bordello - first time I have ever been in the pit at Bonnaroo, this show is something I will remember for a long time. 2. Bassnectar - didn't know what to expect, was blown away. 3. G Love - front row, maybe it wasn't the best set but I have been following these guys for years. 4. Scissor Sisters - I wish I had stayed for the whole set, what we saw of it was fantastic. 5. Everybody else - We caught 16 shows this Bonnaroo and had a fantastic time.
1. Man Man 2. My Morning Jacket 3. Pretty Lights 4. Childish Gambino 5. Bassnectar or Mumford
The most disappointing were Bootsy Collins (didnt even get to see him because he was an hour and a half late, and missed most of the Black Keys), Eminem, and The Strokes (Their singer is one of the lamest performers I've ever seen lol. Just glad there was 4 other stages playing music worth hearing lol.
I'm soooo pissed though. I was in the pit for MMJ, and that wore me outt.. so when Arcade Fire started, they played a couple slow songs and i sat down to rest and listen, but ended up passing out lol. I felt like I was out for about 10 minutes and when I wake up, their set is done. Now I hear its the best set of Roo history lol. WTF haha
This was only my second year (last year being the first) and I had so much more fun! Can't wait for 2012.
1. Arcade Fire - duh 2. Scissor Sisters - amazing energy, it was an effing party. 3. Sleigh Bells - I know they probably do suck live. But I had a blast. 4. EITS - great way to end the weekend 5. MMJ - pretty awesome to check out while in line for AF.
1. Black Joe Lewis 2. Arcade Fire (playing my least favorite three songs of theirs in a row didn't hurt them either) 3. Bruce Hornsby 4. !!! 5. Dr. John/Meters/A. Toussaint
Honorable mentions: Mumford and Sons Ryan Bingham Superjam (though it was late)
Kellee Maize was the worst act at Bonnaroo 2011. There was a lot of hype about her on blogs and her YouTube video's. Then when I witnessed why so many people were in an uproar I totally understood! Complete garbage!
Alright....

1. Gogol Bordello 2. My Morning Jacket 3. School of Seven Bells (http://theaudioperv.com/2011/06/11/school-of-seven-bells-bonnaroo-full-set-video/) Really surprised not many people talking about this. Sound on that vid is kind of muffled, but live it was really immersive. 4. The Strokes 5. Kylesa
