I'll be at the Austin Ventures stage from 3 until Neil Young and Crazy Horse at 8. Father John Misty > Micheal Kiwanuka > Punch Brothers > Steve Earle. I really wish it was RHCP's conflicting with Jack and NYCH closing the fest. I'll be spending Saturday late night at Antone's for Afghan Whigs and Centro-Matic.

I'm with you through Kiwanuka. Would love to see Punch Brothers but same time as the Roots. Then, I'll probably wander over to Antibalas and then to NYCH. This is true until the map comes out, then we might change plans. I'm gonna listen to EAP and keep my Civil Wars after show tickets and run over to see them after Neil. That would also free me up on Sunday to get a good spot for the Lumineers.
It appears I'm too dumb to master advertising on craigslist. So here's the deal...I bought a 3 day pass and locked down a spot at a local hostel in the mindset that I'd go to my 3rd ACL. Life has decided that it would rather I don't do that. So here is the message I was attempting to put on craigslist:
It's within walking distance to the park...but it's just a marker. You'll need to pay them $75 I believe for fri/sat/sun nights combined. Everyone sells out quick in the area on ACL weekend. I need to confirm the stay or lose the deposit soon.
So the place to stay is completely optional. Either way it's 300 (which is what I paid for the pass alone) "
Honestly, if you are going solo and want the close hostel place then it'll be 300...if you don't i'll sell it for a loss at 250. I'm not in the business of making profits off festival goers...
Erykah Badu is doing an ACL after show even though she's not on the lineup. An appearance with The Roots for "You Got Me" perhaps? She could do Eve's part too. That would be nice.

Does anyone need/want a ticket for the Alabama Shakes show at Stubb's on Thursday, October 11th?
I bought one then decided I was going to catch Band of Skulls on Thursday instead and see Alabama Shakes at the fest.
Anyway, let me know. If someone on here wants it, I'll just give it to you in exchange for good karma.
Full disclosure: I made sort of a half-assed effort to sell it for face value on Craigslist. To my morbid amusement, despite the fact that I was just trying to recoup costs while other sellers were asking 2 or 3x face value, nobody was interested in my ticket because it was a printed ticket. I found it sort of ironically humorous that the guy selling the face value ticket with his name, address, and phone number on it was apparently less trustworthy than those individuals asking $110/ticket. (You kidding me?!)
Anyway, digression over. Let me know if you want to boogie at Stubb's fo' free.
Sorry - we already have tickets for that A.S. show - couldn't resist seeing them with Lee Fields and free up slots on Friday to go Afghan Whigs>Trampled by Turtles>Florence. If someone here takes the ticket, let me know and we'll look for you at Stubbs.

I need to do my logisitcs for where I am staying this year pretty soon. My usual friend hasn't responded yet. I will probably head down Thursday night after school is over. Still uncertain on schedule, need to check out some more bands.
My can't miss shows are M83, Andrew Bird, Gotye, Jack White, Gary Clark Jr, The Civil Wars, Iggy and The Stooges and Crystal Castles. Still filling in the holes and checking out bands on Pandora. No major plans to watch the Friday and sunday headliners, but I am not opposed.

I may have a ticket to ?uestlove's Saturday night DJ set at Beauty Bar if anyone is interested. I forgot Afghan Whigs/Centro-matic were the same night when I ordered it.

Has anyone been to Franklin barbecue yet? Was thinking of grabbing some Sunday morning before heading in. It is rated as the best in the country or unfuckingbelievable by Anthony Bourdain. I just have no idea how bad the lines will be.

I haven't been, but on ACL weekend, I'd guess you'd need to be in line by like 9 am. Early birds will be there around 8 am.
I too hear it's amazing, but waiting in line 2 hours for BBQ is a tough pill for me to swallow.
