I'm not sure why the email said what it did and the website says:If you verified your ACL E-List subscription by 11:59pm (CT) on Monday, September 19, 2011 you are eligible for the Wednesday, September 28, 2011 Early Bird E-list Pre-Sale. If were not on the E-list before the 9/19 deadline, our Regular On-Sale will happen in Spring 2012.

It already happened. I missed it by about 10 minutes but they were gone ultra quick. They give no hint, it just happens and there aren't very many tickets.
It is sadly virtually impossible to get the 50$ passes. been trying as long as they've been doing that. You basically have to fe able to continually watch the site the week after. I'll prob be waiting till spring to pick up my ticket.
I might not be able to make Bonnaroo this year, but I might actually be able to make ACL with the October dates. Any idea on around when the lineup is out?
I have no idea other than I believe Gary "Festival" Clark Jr. is confirmed. I have a weird vibe though, that it will be a really, really good lineup this year.

I think At the Drive In is a strong possibility for ACL with the release of the Lolla lineup. I haven't checked Sparta and TMV tour dates to see if there are any conflicts, but with as proud as Cedric is of being from Texas I don't see C3 booking them for Lolla and not for Austin. The two festivals usually share a couple of upper tier acts a year too so I think there is a strong possibility of seeing ATDI at ACL based on the Lolla lineup. Hopefully for an ACL TV show taping too.

When emailing bands about Roo, I found out that Stars and Kaiser Chiefs are most likely playing. Not big, but two solid names. I tried to register on the ACL forum to tell them, but their boards aren't working for me. If anyone is on there, pass the info along. Happy festival, all!

How many overlapping Lolla bands will be at ACL? It's pretty much written in stone that the red hot chili peppers and the black keys will be two of the headliners. Florence & The Machine, Metric, & M83 are safe bets as well. Who do you guys think will be that older, Stevie Wonder/Eagles style headliner (and i mean that with all the respect in the world for them)?
I said this elsewhere but I think Neil will be playing ACL and the tour will revolve around that. It is even possible the second album will be out by then
I have a sneaking suspicion this lineup is going to be killer.
I wish their message board was working...
I agree on both counts. This is the first festival outside of Bonnaroo where I have bought tickets and booked the entire trip with no idea of the lineup...
RHCP, Black Keys, and Jack White seem almost too easy to predict. Although I'd be happy with all 3. I really don't see Jack skipping ACL. He's always there in one form or another. RHCP fill the foos/PJ/Soundgarden-esque slot, and Black Keys...God Bless 'em...are hot as hell right now.
I hope the old school act isn't the Beach Boys. Not that it wouldn't be a quality add...I just don't have much interest in seeing them. Every year people say it would be a great year for Neil to make his ACL debut lol. So I'm not holding my breath on that one. Hall & Oates?
As for hip hop acts...hopeful for Childish Gambino. Ludacris can see how low can you go somewhere else.
