I couldn't imagine Waka getting any better, but did anyone see that they made artist additions last week?!?!?!!? Soulive, Lettuce, The Goddamn Gallows, and The Bright Light Social Hour are going to be on the mountain this year!!!! Check out this video of Soulive at Brooklyn Bowl tearing through "Eleanor Rigby/ I Want You (She's so Heavy)"
Who knew that Matisyahu was a practicing Hasidic Jew? Not this guy! But ANYWAY, I'm posting a video of his "One Day" live performance for Alt-Nation! ENJOY!
Just found this exclusive Waka vid from Govinda! So hyped to get back to the Mountain!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!!! I cannot wait to get down to Mulberry Mountain again. This year is going to be amazing, simply amazing. I really hope that they turn the main stage into the Interstellar Sanctum again for more of those awesome main stage late night sets again. It was killer last year for Bassnectar and Sphongle, I can only imagine what Pretty Lights and Girl Talk will pull out for that stage!
that Govinda link is a great teaser. I'm def gonna check that dude out this year. So much good stuff on this lineup, I'm already losing hours and hours of sleep watching stuff on youtube. I guess it will prepare me for not sleeping for 4 days on the MTN lol

I'm jealous of all of you. I own some land about 50 miles SE from the mountain and would love to host a pre-pre, but 1) it's in the wrong direction and 2) I can never get off work for Waka weekend because of events that are permanent on my work schedule the first of June.
Well, I'm definitely not a spammer, nor am I on a payroll. Just really excited for my summer I post here because I find the inforoo boards friendlier and more familiar than the Waka boards. I don't compare fests to each other because every festival is its own experience, but the Waka folks don't seem to think too highly of Bonnaroo Also, there will be NO SHAVING OF THE BUTT for me at Roo this year! LOL! But thanks for the laugh
bahahaha I cant wait to shave my butt to some Pretty Lights lol They were so god at Roo last year! I'm gonna link a vid on here of some of their Roo show last year.

If any of you guys live in/near Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas or Missouri then be sure to grab ur tix at one of these local retailers. SAVE YOURSELF SOME CASH
I think that is a great deal bobbytripp13 ^ and if I lived in any of those areas I would definitely not pass that up! Unfortunately I live in Ky but I still think the ticket price to Wakarusa is well worth it and I will not be missing out on the festival this year! I love Bonnaroo and I think as far as Headliners they rule the roost, (a lot better than last year's headliners) But as an all around lineup I think Wakarusa has them, and their overall lineup has always impressed me. I've been to Roo 7 times in a row though so no one question my loyalty, I still might try and do both! But its hard when you're a single daddy and I would just like to try something different this year. Wakarusa looks like a for sure winner to me, I think I'd like to camp by the river! kballard Hey Kballard I'm also from Ky and I used to live in Louisville for a short time. Been to headliners a few times as well and saw STS9 at the Brown. I also stick to these boards because I'm familiar with it, and usually every summer I am at Roo. Well see you and all you other folks down at Wakarusa and hopefully Bonnaroo too who knows, its still to early to tell.
Hey, I know this is the third video post I am doing, but if I didn't think these bands/festivals were good I would just not share. So here ya go, one of the headliners at Wakarusa the Avett Brothers, brilliant songwriters...
These guys are another band that I just walked by at Bonnaroo and caught only a bit of. So I would really like to make it this year at Wakarusa and see them for real!
Have you guys listened to Break Science? Those guys are pretty legit! I found a vid of them from Bear Creek back in 2010 and Im very impressed! I love their breakbeat kinda style!
I love Break Science kevthesrpc, here is a video with them + Gramatik who are both gonna be at Wakarusa this year... would be nice to see a collaboration at Wakarusa, too who knows?
I saw Break Science open for Bassnectar on NYE in Nashville. Fun show!! This is my first year doing multiple festivals. I can't believe all the great music I'll get to choose from!! So far, I think Waka's lineup looks like the one that's going to keep me from getting any sleep I guess we'll see what Bonnaroo drops next week. ewelchd, where do you live now? I live in Louisville but work all over the state. I was in Lexington last year for most of the year and eastern Ky in 2009-10. My entire family lives in western Ky, but I just can't leave the 'ville I'm enjoying the videos! Keep 'em coming!!
Hey kballard I'm from eastern ky and have lived here for most my life. I lived in lexington last year for a short time so I'm sure we were there the same time. I try and make it down to Louisville when I can, last time I was there I saw the Pixies, it was very nice! I will be on the lookout for more vids
Here's one coming at ya kballard and all you other Beats Antique fans... I believe this is a newer one but I could be wrong on that... either way very cool!
