My iPad is jail broken so I watch it on an app I have that has a bunch of movies and shows available to stream for free. Don't really have any suggestions on where to watch online for free.
Starting season 3. Season 2 was pretty lackluster. It picked up the last 3 episodes, but it was hard to stay focused. I actually liked the way it ended though..
Edit: Oh. And hearing 50 Cent in the background of this episode just reminded me. I love that I can tell what year each season was made based on what music is being played. I've IMDB'd the year of release a couple of times and the music always matches up. And hearing them talk about texting being some new thing also made me giggle.

On my rewatch I was really shocked at how well it has aged. Aside from the music there really isn't much that shows how old it is.

well pagers and cell phones. but generally I agree with you. I think the central theme of our institutions and how they fail us will be timeless, at least until we learn to see beyond time as a dimension and/or achieve singularity.

There are a few lines about computers that make me laugh. It can be written off as these guys just not being used to using them because of how tight the budgets are and stuff but there was some line from Herc about "learnin' them computers" early on that made me and my friend laugh. But that's like with anything....it's usually just some of the technology. In general it has aged really well, IMO.
Season 3 has been my favorite by far. Starting season 4 now, and my first impression is that it's my favorite version of the opening song. The Tom Waits version in s2 was cool and all, but I like this slow r&bish version the best. I also like the more subtle shift of focusing on Marlow's crew for season 4 rather than the drastic shift in cases they did for season 2. This just felt like it flowed much easier.
You can disagree, respectfully or not, all you want. You're still wrong. Let's do a test to see if you're a total loss. What were some of your favorite scenes? Spoiler tag as needed.

1) It's way too late to be arguing with you. 2) I'll edit this when I get home and I'll entertain your nonsense.
3) edit: Dave Maynar, here ya go.. goddamn I wrote a novel.
First of all, from season 1 till the end Bubbles was my favorite character. I liked everything about him. I liked the way he was portrayed, his story lines, his growth, everything. I was so happy with the way they decided to wrap him up, I was honestly expecting him to have the exact opposite resolution. We can pretty much put anytime he was on screen in my list of favorite scenes.
Now, as far as specific scenes go. Keep in mind, I have a tendency to lean towards sad stuff. I like sad songs, apparently I like sad shows/ moments in shows. Most of my favorite scenes were some of the saddest moments in the series.
My favorite "scene" in the entire series is actually the montage at the end of the series finale. It was pretty much perfect. It gave resolution to nearly every character and was just beautifully shot and well done. I'm not sure if this counts as a scene, per se, but it definitely requires a mention.
The first real scene that comes to mind is the chess scene in season 1. It pretty much sums up what the entire show is about. It was also very true to life. The whole show was true to life, but the speech D'Angelo (D? Dee? I never know how I should spell it.. We'll go with D) gave was perfectly poignant, yet somehow motivating. Wallace obviously saw it the first way, while Bodie took it the second.
Where's Wallace? I cried when Bodie shot Wallace. I loved Wallace. I really hoped that he'd be a key character moving forward. But I quickly got the feeling that he wouldn't make it. So, his death scene and the scene where D confronts Stringer both go in my favorite scenes. Like I said, I cried when Wallace died, but I expected it. I didn't expect D to break down the way he did. I completely lost it when he was yelling at Stringer. Like, sobbed. That got me. I could probably pin that down as one of the more emotional scenes I've ever seen on a TV show.
Season 4 had a similar scene where I completely broke down. Though this one I'm not so sure why it got to me.
When Carver dropped off Randy at the foster home at the end of season 4 it seriously broke my heart. Again, I teared up when they were at the hospital and Randy was calling Carver out as he walked away. But seeing him get dropped off was so heart wrenching. Especially when they go back to see Randy and you see how that moment changed his entire life. He could have had a much better life than what this left him with. It pretty much destined him to a life of hardships. It was so sad. And to know how helpless Carver must've felt was hard to watch. However, it kinda pissed me off that they didn't have Carver revisit the situation. Basically, I had diluted myself into thinking that Carver would go back and adopt him. I was pretty disappointed by that.
I forget what season the next scene is in. I think it is season 3. But when Avon and Stringer are looking over Baltimore and talking about how far they've come and how they were as kids. It was kinda cute seeing these two hardened assholes talking like humans. It was also interesting to see because as the audience we know what is coming and what has already happened. It gives gravity to what Stringer is trying to do on the side and it almost made Avon seem vulnerable. I remember thinking for the first time that Avon was really naive.
He was the only other death that actually made me cry like a baby. Which is ironic, since he killed my first favorite character. But you know what, I actually forgot for a while that he killed Wallace. I actually liked Bodie. He operated by a core set of rules and he stuck to them. He called shit out when things weren't right, and when he realized that his friend had been killed for basically no reason, his reaction was spot on. I like Bodie was also just one of the most well acted characters, too. But the scene where he's in the cemetery, or park, or wherever they were, talking to McNaulty he actually showed that he did have morals. Fucked up morals, but he stuck to them. He was basically the separation between the good bad guys, and the bad bad guys. I knew his death was coming. But when it actually happened I cried so hard.... It made me ugly cry.
Dookie was another one of my favorite characters. I was really pulling for him to live too. He just seemed like such a sweet boy that he'd never give in to the street life. I was actually happy when Michael made him a stay at home homie. I felt like it suited him.
This is probably just on my list because it's so fresh in my mind. But when Michael drops him off after killing Snoop, the look on his face as he gets out of the car and starts walking towards that homeless guy is terrible. It is the face of someone who knows he's fucked. It was the same feeling I got when Randy was dropped off at the foster home. His life has officially been mapped out for him. He was a kid really trying to hang on to this "normal" life with his best friend. I didn't cry when it happened, maybe it was because I was at work, but now that I'm thinking about it again it's making me tear up. It was just really, really sad.
These two are going to seem like a weird, morbid choice.
The first time they show Snoop and Chris doing the vacant house killing was very well done. I think I more so liked the whole lead up to it too. The purchasing of the nail gun, then the transition into the killing. The first killing was well done too. The back lighting to create the silhouette of the person on the tarp was a really cool shot. Similarly, when Bunk and McNaulty are standing over Stringer's dead body was a really neat scene. Between the dialogue and the lighting and the camera angels, it was just a really well done scene. I liked the Stringer killing, too. With Omar and Bow Tie getting him while he was doing a business deal, rather than on the street or some shit was wonderfully ironic. I liked it.
Ok, this is all that's coming to mind off the top of my head. There were some scenes with the duck in season 2 that made me laugh. I laughed at the most inappropriate times because of Snoop. I really liked her. I have no idea why, but even her last line in the show made me laugh. Which is so wrong...
And yes, the fuck scene in season 1 was hilarious. I actually watched it twice before moving on with the episode.
Overall, the show is very good. I understand why everyone loves it so much. But I'm still partial to Breaking Bad. I felt like BB is just more consistently good and the acting is better. Bad acting really takes me out of a show, and there was a lot of bad acting in this show. Bodie started out as one of the weakest actors on the show, but by the end I felt he was one of the best. Maybe it was just because he was there from season 1, but I really ended up liking his character.
And after all this I'm going to make a minor change to my ranking:
4 1 3 5 2
I listed too many scenes from season 1 to not switch it. Really though, those three in the middle are pretty interchangeable based on mood. Fuck season 2 though. I was not into it at all.

Yeah, it's not an argument. It's a statement of fact.
I forgot these two. I actually gasped during goodbye Cheese. I scared the crap out of my coworker when I did it.
Also, I didn't like Michael. I did at first, but as his character progressed I started to really hate him. I liked when they went to the amusement park, because it reminded me of why I liked him at first. But then when they got back I instantly started hating him again..

I want to half like this.. Why is it more fucked up? What did I do? What is your, definitively correct, ranking?
