I'd be alright with Petty but I've never liked the Eagles so please great gods of Bonnaroo booking, keep them off the farm.
Also, I wanted to put Bonnie Raitt on my lineup contest but saw no indication that she was touring at all. Any idea of the chances of her being on the farm?
i like the idea of a tba. ill probably go the days of mmj, foo fighters, and john mayer. hopefully i get rewarded with acts like bonnie raitt, florence, rod y gab, galactic, levon helm, iron and wine, bon iver, and carolina chocolate drops on the same days.
unfortunately, with mmj and foo fighters on the same weekend, there is a chance of these acts being at the same time. if this happens, i would be forced to possibly go to foo fighters because its a band my wife and i have never gotten to see. hope it doesnt come to that
Does this lineup have anything to do with Bonnaroo? Meaning, if they are on this lineup does it make it any more or less likely that that band will play on the farm? (based on anything - years past, whatever)?
This festival is booked by either Superfly or AC Entertainment, cant remember which, but yes, we usually get a few acts from this fest.

Neither. Superfly books shows in between the weekends but neither has anything to do with the festival itself.
take this with individual serving packets of salt, but my wife just told me she heard on the local radio that there is still a "historic" reunion to be announced for jazz fest this year. could be the TBA in the lineup. could be she misheard the announcement and it was just talking about pres. jazz hall 50th anniversary jam. who knows
it was apparently wwl that announced it and its supposed to be an "earth-shattering" reunion from a group/band that has never reunited before and that they are the TBA.
beach boys are rumored to be reuniting, as well as Van Halen, but i have no idea if either have reunited before..
also, ive been listening to herbie hancock all morning and grooving in my bed

Interesting.
I wonder what they mean by "never reunited before." Led Zeppelin has done some one-off shows since Bonham died, but never a full-on reunion. Same thing with Pink Floyd and Cream. All three of those would definitely qualify as "earth-shattering," though.
The Beach Boys with Brian Wilson definitely seems the most plausible.
