Canton is indeed where the NFL Hall of Fame is, and "Sabbath" could relate to Saturday or Sunday, the two days on which football is traditionally played
Hmm... didn't Hank 3 get his song taken off Monday night football or something? (Maybe I should stay out of this one; I know little to nothing about sports)
The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord (colloquially known as Ascension Thursday) is one of the great solemnities, in the Christian liturgical calendar, and commemorates the bodily Ascension of Jesus into heaven. Ascension Day is traditionally celebrated on a Thursday, the fortieth day of Easter. However, some Roman Catholic provinces have moved the observance to the following Sunday. The feast is one of the ecumenical feasts (i.e., universally celebrated), ranking with the feasts of the Passion, of Easter, and Pentecost.

i think it has a three word name and that the canton part could be the first or last name of a player who is a sure hof. someone canton bound like peyton, brady, favre, tomlinson, randy moss, ray lewis. a lot of these are shitty examples cause they are strange. there wouldnt be any musicians with the name _ tomlinson _ or _ favre _
There are also dozens of towns called Canton so let's not get too locked into the NFL HOF idea. Joe Vitale is from Canton, Ohio... he played with CSN and The Eagles plus others.

"Canton-bound" - simply a band that may be playing in a city named Canton in the near future?
Also the second part could mean that this bands "Ascension" or rise to fame could be somewhat linked to them playing a Black "Sabbath" cover of some sort?
