He has worked with the Shakes. I've heard stories of serious long standing bad blood between Jack and The Black Keys out of Nashville. Supposedly he has even accused them of ripping off his studio setup. Nobody can have a blues based duo but Jack.

To be fair, if I were a musician with questionable vision and talent, I'd probably go ripping off my betters as well. The Shakes already make incredibly boring and derivative music with little to no originality, so at least she's getting accused of ripping off the best. It'd be much worse if she was getting accused of copying like Jet or something.

I like Jack White. But he needs to grow the eff up and put aside his emotions toward others for the sake of his kids education. Just seems so irrational and petty to me

According to the court documents, Jack has been ordered to appear for a show cause hearing at the next court date. Might have to keep my schedule clear that morning and drop in.
Seems to me he's more upset about his kid being used against him in a petty argument than he is about the whole Dan Auerbach thing... Either way, I enjoy Jack White the musician and the person and don't feel the need to dig anymore into his personal affairs. I just want a Jack White SuperJam (maybe Patrick Carney can sit in on drums )
This is the greatest, most hilarious rock n roll stories ever. The thought of Jack White walking his kid into class on the 1st day of school to find his arch nemesis, Dan Auerbach, and his kid, leading a sing along with all of the students is amazing.

jack white has the perfect combination of paranoia, perfectionism, showmanship, and arrogance. everything he does is entertaining - even his choice of school for his kids is a spectacle.
