It's time to announce the first Bonnaroo poster run of 2016!
We will attempt to make all markets available in the Supplies section of the Rewards store on Sunday, January 31 at approximately 3PM EST. We suggest that you attempt to access the site at around 2PM, so that way it will actually load by the time the poster runs are put up. Due to last year's overwhelming demand for poster runs, we have not upgraded our servers in any way in order to consistently provide you with the true Fancorps experience. We know how desperate you are to attend this increasingly subpar music festival, so we want to give you as much time as possible to consider your life choices.
By ordering a poster supply pack, you are signing up to complete a poster run for the market you select. One person can sign up for up to (2) markets, but cannot sign up for multiple slots in the same market, because we know you're an asshole and will try to snag all the poster runs for your city. Because fuck other people, amirite?
Markets will be on a first come, first serve basis in terms of ordering, which is why I am designating a time that is least likely to conflict with work schedules and giving you a heads up. The Poster Packs do not cost you any points, it is just a way for us to keep track of who gets what - not that it matters, really. Regardless of when you add your Poster Pack to your cart, the checkout process will inconceivably falter in multiple ways before your order is confirmed, and someone else will inevitably receive the run that you had already claimed. If this happens, please feel free to send us several strongly-worded emails, so later we can redo the entire process and considerably disappoint people throughout the country.
The markets that will be available are based on past ticket sales and trends, which our dedicated interns have compiled and analyzed using the latest version of Google Docs. If you would like to poster in a city that is not listed, you can request it in the Bonnaroo forum. After primary focus routes are filled, we will consider additional cities request based on remaining supplies. Please note that after we consider your request, we will say no.
Each poster pack includes:
-25 posters to be hung around your city
-75 posters to be given away to family and friends
Required proof will include:
- 25 photos, convincingly representative of the posters hung
- 1 written text, containing a list of locations and/or areas that may have been postered. Use your imagination!
Additional notes:
-Completed routes will receive 8,000 activity points and store credits, so that you can purchase leftover merchandise from festivals that occurred years ago.
-All proof must be uploaded by Wednesday, February 26 by EOD. This deadline is necessary because we need a full three months to ship you your wristband for some odd reason. You understand.
-Please make sure to include your current address when signing up for a postering route. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS INFORMATION! We put this in all caps because of your collective innumerable past fuckups when it comes to knowing your own address.
-Supply purchases must be input by 6pm on Wednesday, February 3 to be eligible for this run. However, please get your purchases in ASAP to ensure you have the most time possible to complete your route.
-The majority of orders and shipments will be sent out eventually, with the rest being fulfilled eventually.
Please list any additional questions below and we will do our best to answer them when we feel like it.

How hard is it to get a poster run? Is it even worth trying?
Definitely worth trying. I'd put it at better than 50/50 based on my experience. I've done Columbus and Chicago; other areas may be more or less competitive.
The site does get slow and crash when everyone gets on trying to get runs at the same time, so be ready for that. (It's like the joy of buying presale all over again!)

Well I'll be at NHL all stsr festivities tomorrow and doubt I'll be patient enough to do it. Anyone have an idea how many poster runs a year they do?

Well, the poster runs are going up Sunday, not tomorrow, so you've got that going for you.
If it's like last year, they'll have a run for phx and one for Tempe (don't remember if Tempe is for the college run or not). At the slower rate of points this year I need at least one of them to be sure I'll have a ticket. Both would get me within 5k of two (without more social media added in).

It would be great to snag two of these if possible. The sticking points might be that they are really only giving us two weeks to get our proofs submitted and the time frame usually has some pretty nasty weather around here. I'll probably logon Sunday and see what's available but I might wait for the Forecastle runs and hope for both Cleveland and Pittsburgh again. This winter has been crazy warm and we've had less snow than I ever remember, but February always sucks.

Yup.
Wow Jaz you weren't kidding. I'll keep trying for a bit but getting nothing but 503 errors from the site, and of course the app is as useless as usual. Maybe hosting the server at home via dialup isn't the best idea.

What the fuck, I was all ready and had my markets on cart and both were taken away because of the site crashing. I can't log back in... It didn't do that let year.. We don't need so many damn people in street team.

Bullshit. I had the final Pittsburgh run in my cart then couldn't check out. Congrats to whomever grabbed it, but I'm not too happy. All Ohio runs were already gone by the time I was able to get to the store. They should really stagger the rollout of these, if upgrading the server past 1994 specs is out of the question. Oh well.
well that was utterly disappointing and frustrating. finally was able to log in after trying for an hour and stl and kc are out. damn it. feels pretty bogus.
Completely forgot about the poster runs today. Luckily, I moved back to the northeast because the only ones left at 4:30 were New York (East Village) and Brooklyn. Looks like I'll be chilling in Brooklyn...
