VIP tix are sold out already Dude at my plant tried to get some for him and his wife when they went on sale and couldn't get them. He's so mad! Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Band of Horses are his favorite bands. lol
That's rediculous. I wasn't planning on getting VIP, but now thats got me worried about GA tickets also...
Agreed. However, I could see them dropping one of those names as a big act late addition. Maybe not Blink though, they don't really fit in this lineup... at all.

Nevermind...it was just their site crashing, apparently. It kept telling us they were no longer available though, but he just now got through. Now he's trying to decide if he wants to spend $1500 on this shit.

hahaha yeah dude, that's not a cheap price tag... I would definitely have a hard time spending that money. That's good to know VIP didn't sell out in an hour. My heart dropped when I read that...
ZBB is the third headliner. They're already signed, but they're playing the BamaJam Festival and Jazz Fest, and they can't announce them until after those events are over because of proximity.
"Organizers say they expect to sell out of advanced VIP passes by lunch today. Advanced VIP passes which include access to premium viewing areas, a VIP lounge and more, are being sold for $649.95. Once the advance VIP passes are gone, regular VIP passes be made available at the cost of $850, plus taxes and fees.
Regular three-day passes remain available at the advanced price of $159.95, plus taxes and fees. However, organizers report that if sales continue at the current rate, advanced three-day passes will sell out within 48 hours. When the advanced tickets are gone, regular three-day passes will be available for $199.95, plus taxes and fees."
I think this is my sign from god to reup my TenClub membership. I had heard that the Gaslight Anthem was going to be touring with Pearl Jam in the late summer and fall, I guess this is a good indication that what I heard was accurate.
I have a few questions about this fest though...
How long does the fest go into the night? Midnight? How long do the headliners get? 1:30? Are the headliners unopposed? How is the trolley situation? Is it over crowded to a spectacular degree? How is the parking situation?
Hotel rooms are cheap, and the fest ticket is pretty cheap too. This is going to be a tough decision.
I know it, just a nice little example of how much better they are already doing than the previous years. Also, a little personal worry that I'll have to end up spending $100 more for 2 tickets if those advanced end up selling out b4 i get my hands on 'em. Might have to break into savings...

I'm pretty sure the previous year lasted until after midnight, 1ish on fri and sat. Not positive though, someone could for sure answer that on here. Pretty positive the headliners are unopposed, I know the first year's was like that. Who else could really play when Willie Nelson was playing anyway? You can find places to park (public parking) all along the beach, the shops, bars, restaurants, etc. You might just have a little hike to the car if you dont go trolley. Not positive about the drop off/pickup locations for the trolley though. This year will be the most packed it has been. It's hard to gauge exactly how croded it will be due to the lack of attendence in the previous years... I could see it getting the 30k-50k it needs though, and then it could for sure get a little swamped...

This is what it was like last year when I went:
1. The fest ended at around 2 AM with late night shows.
2. The headliners got 2 hours.
3. No,they weren't last year.
4. This is the trolley's first year.
5. Parking was EXCELLENT last year, plenty of spaces to park, even some for free.

I'm glad they moved the fest into september. It distances the fest from its most direct competitor (voodoo fest). This also makes it easier for me to attend. I work and go to school and getting school work done can get tough when you are going to music festivals every other weekend right in the middle of the semester.

Thank you for the info. I think I am gonna hold off an catch pearl jam on tour, but if the southeast gets boned again, I may pickup a ticket later.
This is not the first year of the trolley. It was definitely there for the first DeLuna, because they were encouraging people to park in downtown Pensacola and take the trolley to the beach. Other than that, I can't really say much about it. I never bothered to use it because I live pretty close.
In response to the "Are the headliners unopposed?" question:
I only went on Friday last year, but I recall A-Trak playing a small stage at the same time as Weezer on Friday. Then Girl Talk went on the 2nd stage right after Weezer wrapped. I'm pretty sure they had some dj (Diplo?) on the same small stage during Janes on Sat too.

I don't remember anything about a trolley that first year, but I know there wasn't one last year because I asked personally and they said no.

Wow, this lineup is much better than I thought it would be. I rode the trolley both years. It was nice and easy. Its easy to book a hotel room downtown and ride the trolley.
I guess $30 is not such a bad deal for the trolley pass since I'll be staying downtown. If this festival sells out, I am definitely going to do that because I imagine parking will be a bitch on the beach.
Trolley Pass FTW! I know where secret free parking spots are..........but the downside is driving back to Pcola with about 30 cops posted up pulling people over on the way. I hate running the Gauntlet!! I used the same parking spot every day I was at the fest the past two years.......it's perfect. Got a hetty piss spot next to it as well.
I'm definitely glad I got Leap Day tickets. I would be pissed if I spent much more than that on this lineup. Foo Fighters are okay. I'm not a big Pearl Jam fan. I really hope the third headliner isn't ZBB. The rest of the lineup leaves much to be desired. The only thing I'm halfway excited about is the Wood Brothers and the Rebirth Brass Band.
I'm really just confused about the targeted demographic for this lineup. Will people really travel to see Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters? Or is this to try to attract the locals?
Silk - you are on point, the demographic they are appealing to is going to be roughtly 25% festival people, and the rest will be a weird mix of young navy dudes in packs of 10 or more, random locals & florida rednecks, and then a mix of just straight up randoms.
That is how the past two deluna fests were.
Why the hell would you book Dwight Yoakam at a place Bad Brains are playing? It's just asking for trouble. Diversity is great, but common sense is even better.
