Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Ha! No actually they're really good with the whole festival thing.
My little one will be in a stroller or a wagon. My other little one stays pretty close.
Then my oldest son is fine as long as he has a drum. My oldest daughter is good to go with her hula hoop.
Also. We don't drink pop.
I would love to hear any other information from people that have been there as we've never been.
Thanks!
What kind of info are you looking for? Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is one of a kind. It's massive, beautiful and amazing. You can camp really close to the venue and really far away, depending on how serene you want your scenery. Bear Creek is personally my favorite music festival. I always get a really big family vibe out there. A lot of love flowing through the park for sure, but a lot of ragin' @ all hours of the day/night The funk really does live @ Bear Creek.
Mostly infor about the venue and logistics type of info. Like I said we've done multiple festivals as a family so they are totally used to everything that comes along with them. But we've never been to Bear Creek or that venue.
The more we talk about going to Florida the more Bear Creek looks like a good idea.

If you're down here during the time Bear Creek is happening, there is no good reason for you to miss out! Join in on the festivities!
I just saw that The Family Stone is going to be headlining the Long Beach Funk Fest in a couple weeks. I could definitely see them being a possible late add for BC... we always get a good bit of Sly covers every year, so why not have the OG's???
The Metermen would be an awesome headliner too. Did y'all see that? Halloween two night stand in NYC.....The OG Meters with Page instead of Art Neville (the weakest link in the OG Meters due to health).
Ha, they just played a show in LA saturday and I found a short snippet from the show:
They definitely wouldn't be a headliner at Bear Creek, but they'd be a fantastic addition. I could see them playing one of the smaller stages of voodoo too.

That would be the shnit. Hands down. I could easily see this being added to BC, nice and practiced off of that Halloween run.
EDIT: "Kyle Hollingsworth, Galactic’s Richard Vogel, and Robert Walter" Any of those would be awesome as well. I'm a huge fan of Walter's stuff.
Per Moon Taxi's site: they will be playing Thursday (11/08) and Friday (11/09)... I pretty much figured this would be the case, but just a little nugget of info.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been any recent update on anything whatsoever.
EDIT: Also, just noted that Budos Band only has 11/09/12 listed on their Live Oak dates.

Although I am hoping Humphreys is Fri/sat, I bet they are Thur/Fri as well. Gotta sell those preparty tickets. And I'm not being critical, the BC organizers are great, but they gotta make money.

hahaha @ "humphreys"...
You're probably right. That's how they did it in 2010. I'm hoping they'll bring the tent back this year also. I think UM playing Thurs/Fri would actually cause less major scheduling conflicts throughout the weekend. 2010 killed me b/c I had to choose between them and Soulive @ the same time slot. Soulive won @ the Big IV Amp though, cause UM played the pre-party. Pre-party is always a shiz ton of fun though.

Hey there folks- Umphrey's McGee is playing Friday and Saturday at Bear Creek. 2 sets on Friday and one long set Saturday. I'll be checking this forum from time to time, so fire away with questions.

Paul, welcome! Glad you are here, and thanks for sharing the good news.

That's great news! Welcome to Inforoo Paul! Bear Creek can't come soon enough! The lineup is ridiculously good as is, but should we be expecting any additions a little later in the game?
Add some serious funk PAUL........get some Mandrill action up in there. Maybe pull some Mahavishnu John McLaughlin!
I'm still on the ropes about this fest until the full lineup drops. I'm doing Voodoo>FFF the previous two weekends and dunno about burning more vacation days as I'm doing to see WSMFP in the Dominican Republic in January =)

Hey there Caddyshack- I guess if you don't think that Bear Creek has enough "serious" funk, then no additions we make will satisfy you. In my opinion, Bear Creek is the funkiest line-up in the country. We have tried for McLauglin for a few years. He rarely comes to the US. That being said, we will be adding one or two smaller acts and some artists at large, but nothing big. Pee Wee Ellis, Will Bernard and a few others. If you can't make Bear Creek, I'll see you in Dominica.

Plenty of the serious there, just asking for more. The lineup looks just like 2010....was expecting a little more after having Trey last year. Bear Creek is a spiritual experience I'll be sad if I miss it. Will prob do a fri/sat pass if all else fails.

With all due respect Caddyshaq, you are wrong about BC looking like 2010, outside of the return of UM and P-Groove. Lotus was 2009. We have 50 bands, 28 that have never been to the festival. Yes, Lettuce, Dumpsta, NMS, UM< P-Groove, Zach D and a few others are back, but there is a ton of new stuff. Sharon Jones, Budos, March 4th, Charles Bradley, Bobby Rush and many others. Not meaning to argue with you. Just pointing out that we've changed it up more than you suggest.
cant wait for BearCreek!!! kicking myself for missing Charles Bradley at bonnaroo, and the Werks might be one of my favorite new finds of the year. Paul, when are we getting a schedule?

Oh snap! Y'all went and got the the funkin' wolf up in here! Hellz yeah! Paul welcome to Inforoo. Looking forward to a great fest! M4 is a great score as many others, like all the funking Daptone folks! Now Back to getting to BRC!
Missed Charles Bradley at Wanee because of the stupid rain! That 4/21 Furthur show was truly epic.

You are right Paul. It's mainly the Umphrey's I was referring to. I fully expect the Royal Family to be at Bear Creek every year......and I'm glad the Dapton Super Soul Revue got added. Gonna be fun.
Am I right in assuming the Dumpsterjam is still going down? That Dr. Funkenstein was so sick...
